Had a lot of fun with the crew
@soundsofvence - @rowansteeleuk - @mekimo.t -
@dj.sjm.uk - and of course @edolovati had more fun! 😄🫠

Cambodia was one of the first places I really got to play to more international dancers until sunrise , 8-9 years ago before moving to Vietnam - and met alot of great characters still pushing music like @rowansteeleuk @beynga.bear @mekimo.t @justfin.music @secretguests.asia aiming to contribute sounds and events in Cambodia and blend international music, paired with its own rich musical history I reckon its somewhere everyone should visit with a bit more patience but immense curiosity and wonder to explore. taken in Phnom Penh City • ទីក្រុងភ្នំពេញ by @matsacre

@shankeddoucrecords release party!

A few months into our first release, and we’ve managed to make movements to preserve our creative critter the Red Shanked Douc of Vietnam!

What’s a label to do without a little gathering, surely we can’t produce in our studios much longer ~ so we brought together few of the releases most kindred spirits to celebrate psychetronics sounds of @shankeddoucrecords !

This one’s going late ye olde @miragehanoi !
With a listening session earlier at @geistcreate !

Vietnam’s finest residents on board for pre—post—afters. Harkening to a day when Hanoi heads were connected at the hip, and supported by our cosmic home base of @outlandish.vn.

—————-
As summer slowly departs, I believed passion was running dry.

I remembered a time asking a fellow creator how he managed to organize multiple jazz festival on multiple mountains on a tiny island, you must have so much passion?! He said no, passion will only get you so far, then you need intelligent design, systems, and frameworks.

Driving alone up the mountain in search of the Red Shanked Douc, I realized the passion already ignited and burnt long ago, it drove me to establish an absurd amount of projects. Believing even 5 years ago that a record label around an endangered monkey was something that had to happen, and here we were playing the music we curated to people all over the world. @shankeddoucrecords was born, and much like the Shanked Douc itself we were living quietly in the trees, until anterior forces start to uproot our way of life.

However odd to us that things are changing as they do; an artist, a passionate driven “outside the box” thinker will always adapt, always grow and evolve into new forms, directions and pathways.

All in search of creating our version of paradise.

When I remind myself, where I was 10 years ago, a wandering soul- in search of a home, and hoping to Buddha, Allah, God, or Shiva that there was a more virtuous, creative and alternative way to live than what had been presented by the countries I lived and left before.

I had to look at myself, my past and current desires, and consider to suspend everything to see where a rest stop in Hanoi could take me.

Only by referencing my mental state a decade before could I recognize how far things have come into the direction that was designed. @airtime.asia collected the spirit of young, thrifty dreamers doing their best in the scenes they exists within. Some are more blessed than others, and some deal with extreme limitations, yet it hasn’t stopped anyone from sharing their sounds and experiences.

OTTO BAR PRESENTS A NEW ART EXHIBIT AND MUSICAL EXPERIENCE
*** SEPTEMBER 4th 2026 ***

_________________________________

CONSUME ME LIKE A CONSUMPTION is a new solo exhibition by A/S The Artist, (@aiyanaskye) presenting six previously unreleased works exploring desire, intimacy, appetite, and excess.

Moving between the sensual and the unsettling, the exhibition considers what it means to want, to possess, and to be consumed.

Through bold color, fragmented bodies, and moments of private intensity, the works blur the boundaries between love, hunger, sexuality, and consumerism.

‘Consume Me Like A Consumption’ asks only one thing: what are we really consuming—and what is consuming us?

Shanked Douc - Infinite Douc

Sacré • Douc Cruz

Shanked Douc & Outlandish Founder - @matsacre gives us a ritual offering that blends elements of electro, garage, and the bouncy tech sounds of Vietnam all while immersing itself in his psychedelic signature. As we cruise through the highways on our way deep into the countryside the Douc Cruz speeds along like a swinging langur on it’s way to the secret rave deep in the Vietnamese jungle.

Smooth Groove has arrived in Vietnam! Come for a dance, a drink or a chat with some of Hanoi’s best selectors on the 5th of June to Le Maquis located in the Old Quarter. It’s gonna be funky, groovy, moving your hips and your souls. For me personally, it will be a farewell party before moving back to Europe, so I’ll be very glad to share it with all my close and distant friends, as well as new faces. And on the 6th, I’m hosting a special art event at Otto Bar… Be ready for the unexpected! 👂✨ by @matsacre

@outlandish.vn season wrapped up.
Melbourne • Margaret Rivers • Singapore • Bangkok • Seoul • and always back to Vietnam.

Thank u to everyone who supported the journey and followed us into the strange new frontiers as Outsiders. It took a village of lunatics to pull this off and it would have been impossible without all the souls who collided.

Vietnam has been undergoing massive changes lately and I hope we all get back to what’s truly important cause lord knows we don’t do it for no other reason than living in the present moment and harmonizing our frequencies towards something purer.

Other than in the studio @geistcreate find me sharing some sounds over next weeks with:

May
22- @bbcb_seoul
23 - @golgolgol.seoul
29 - @miragehanoi

June
4 - @unmute.hanoi
5 - smoothgroove @le.maquis.club
6 - @electricbazaar_

Hitting up Canada / USA soon to so hmu if you have cool summer parties I’ll be bringing some fresh trax via our label dropping soon @shankeddoucrecords taken in Oceania by @matsacre
