You already know what your best feels like. Calm, clear, fully in it.

The problem is it shows up when it wants to.

Mastery trains the mental side of your game every day, so your best turns up when you need it. by @matt_boyd48

Who are you when you stop trying to be someone else?

@matt_boyd48 went looking for greatness in other pitchers’ games. Four years and two surgeries later, he found it where it had always been. In his own.

Mastery isn’t the pursuit of someone else’s best.

Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Boyd is a finalist for the 2026 Philanthropist of the Year award!

As the April Most Valuable Philanthropist (MVP), Matt was recognized for his work with Kingdom Home, a non-profit organization he founded with his wife dedicated to ending child exploitation in Uganda. His MVP grant went towards supporting family-style prevention homes that work to protect and provide children with a loving and safe home to grow in.

Each year, Players vote in the Players Choice Awards to recognize their peers for their hard work on and off the field. As part of the nominations, Players elect the Philanthropist of the Year, which celebrates one of the season’s Most Valuable Philanthropists and honors their work with a $25,000 grant. Congratulations to Matt on being a finalist for the 2026 Philanthropist of the Year! by @matt_boyd48

10 Years of Service Time: the Holy Grail for Players. Throughout history, fewer than 10% of Players have possessed the combination of talent, health, resilience, perseverance and good fortune to achieve the feat. This July, Matt Boyd officially reached 10 Years of Service Time!

Boyd was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays and made his major league debut for the club in 2015. Boyd has also pitched for the Tigers, Mariners, Guardians and Cubs. The Wisconsin native has started over 200 games and garnered over 1,000 strikeouts. Welcome to the 10-year fraternity, Matt! by @matt_boyd48

Ten years. Countless setbacks. And through it all, one unshakable foundation: Jesus🤍

Our co-founder, Matthew Boyd, recently reflected on reaching 10 years in Major League Baseball and shared that his greatest identity isn't found in baseball, but in Christ. That same faith is what led him and Ashley to co-found Kingdom Home.

We're so grateful for his leadership, his humility, and the way he continues to use every platform God has given him to point others to Jesus. Congratulations on an incredible milestone! We're cheering you on both on and off the field⚾️
