This Tuesday (6th October) the fantastic @mateujmusic is @the_hybrid_sessions special guest 🙌

Expect a brilliant fusing of live music and electronic production - blending jazz, RnB, house, hip-hop, soul, and beyond 🎶

The first set (8-8:45pm) will be with Mateu J, @loz_on_drums, and other invited musicians. Then, for sets 2 and 3 (9-11pm) the stage is open to musicians to get involved! It’s a really great opportunity to meet likeminded music makers and create something special ❤️

We’ve got a BIG weekend coming up, with six completely different gigs across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Brass, jazz, pop, salsa, New Orleans, soul, and beyond… there really is something for everyone.

FRIDAY
 Back Chat Brass - 9:30pm–12:30am Huge brass, funk, soul, hip hop and party energy. The perfect way to start the weekend.

SATURDAY - FOUR GIGS IN ONE DAY

Under-18s are welcome until 7pm, so families can join us for the first two Saturday gigs too.

Jazz Brunch - 1:30-4pm A gorgeous Saturday afternoon of live jazz, brunch pizza, tasty drinks and that unmistakable M&P atmosphere.

James Lucas - 5-6pm FREE ENTRY + Happy Hour. A sensational singer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist making his M&P debut.

Cuba Vida Salsa Band - 7-8:45pm Our Sweet Spot Gigs continues with sunny Latin rhythms, salsa and plenty of feel-good vibes.

The Nightcreatures - 10pm-12:30am Finish Saturday with authentic New Orleans energy, big grooves and a proper party.

SUNDAY
 My Generation - DJ from 7pm, live music from 8pm Soul, Motown and old-school favourites for this proper Sunday night cabaret club night.

Six gigs. Three days. One little Northern Quarter club.

WE HAVE TWO BAR POSITIONS AVAILABLE!

FULL-TIME BAR SUPERVISOR
FULL-TIME BAR PERSON

Matt & Phred’s (NQ) are hiring a FULL-TIME SUPERVISOR, to start ASAP.

Generally 4 shifts per week including every Friday and Saturday night and varying weeknights - approximately 30-35 hours per week.

Shifts can start as early as 12pm and finish as late as 2:30am.

Bar knowledge (including cocktails), experience in a fast-paced venue environment beyond just the bar, and leadership skills are essential.

We can get very busy very quickly, and there’s live music every night, so being comfortable in that environment is essential.

Pay starts at £13.50 per hour, plus equal share of tips, which is paid weekly. Food is provided on every shift. There’s a 50% staff discount on all food and drink when you are off duty.
