We’re really proud to say that we were the winner of the award for Outstanding Contribution to Engagement through Music in the UK Music MAP Awards, held at @mattandphreds in Manchester last week.

These annual awards through @_ukmusic shine a light on individuals and organisations making a positive, inclusive impact on people or communities through music.

This award is therefore really special for us...

Receiving awards is always good, and we’ve won quite a few that we've been very proud of.

Receiving awards from an organisation such as UK Music, the lead voice of our industry is even better.

However, what's EVEN better, is receiving an award from UK Music for something that is literally our core mission… engaging people through music is one of the main reasons that we exist; it's even written into our company objects.

Our team are immensely grateful to UK Music for recognising and valuing what they do 🙏❤️

Yesterday, Penwith music team travelled to Manchester to support Thom Church in his nomination at the

OMG UK Music MAP Outstanding Graduate Awards (Level 3 category).

We are so incredibly proud and thrilled to announce that

⭐ Thom only went and won ⭐

Anyone who knows Thom will know how much he deserves this, how much his music deserves recognition and how genuinely brilliant he is.

Thom completed his Extended Diploma in 2023 with a Distinction at Penwith College, and went on to Falmouth University where he graduated his degree in Creative Music Technology with one of the highest first class honours awarded.

We could not be prouder of Thom and his achievements, and can’t wait for him to come into Penwith and do some workshops with our current students.

You can listen to Thom’s latest release here:

All of us from Penwith College Music are absolutely over the moon for Thom, and can’t wait to see the amazing things he does next. Special thanks to Oli at UK music, and everyone at UAL for inviting us to nominate Thom and provide this opportunity for our little college at the end of the country. We all had the absolute best time at Matt and Phreds.
