It’s Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month so thought now was a good time to share this:

The day after Mother’s Day I was hospitalized for jaundice. They thought I had gallstones. Several days and tests later it was discovered to be pancreatic cancer.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at UCLA and Providence St. Joseph.
Thank you to my job for being flexible.
Thank you to everyone who either came and visited me, called or texted to check in, sent me a gift or wrote me letters and postcards, or simply kept me in their thoughts and prayers.
Thank you to my mom and aunt for making sure I was never alone while I went through chemotherapy.
Thank you to my mom and dad who stayed with me at the hospital when I had surgery four weeks ago.

I’m picking chemo back up in December to finish my previously scheduled sessions. But right now, after ten sessions of chemo during the summer, and my whipple procedure in October, I am happy and lucky to say I am cancer free! #fuckcancer #pancreaticcancerawareness💜 taken in Hollywood Reservoir by @mattcassani

Pleasure Chest Friends and Family Screening, LA edition. Super fun evening. One of the best reasons to make something is to then celebrate with loved ones when it gets finished! My dad and I did the LA Charity Half Marathon with Team PanCan!
As a group we raised nearly $30k which will go towards programs and services to help patients and their families.
