I spent the last few months going through the Eastern Sierra, southern Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. I’m so thankful to have gotten to do it. The southwest is truly a magical place.

I learned a lot from the light down here, the temperament of color, and the seemingly simplistic nature of the desert. I continued to learn a lot about my painting process and the work I want to be making. I’m learning to be kinder to myself and not assign my worth to what I produce, while instead putting intuition and passion at the forefront. I’m learning this not only feels better but makes for better art anyway. I’m learning to listen and notice more and stop pretending like I have control. And perhaps most importantly during my time down here, I learned about some deep-seated pain. Pain that I thought was one thing, then realized it was another thing, only to find that it’s actually both things because they are the same thing. I’m continuing to learn separate doesn’t exist. The more time I spend traveling alone, hiking mountains, looking at stars, and meeting strangers, the more I’m reminded of that.

I’m grateful to have visited family in Arizona and met up with friends along the way. I’m grateful for all the galleries I went to and for the quiet forest service roads I stayed on. I’m grateful for public lands and ethereal landscapes. I’m grateful for a reliable truck and a beautiful camper shell. I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve had and the privilege to engage in them. I’m grateful for the people and bands that let me draw things for them and give me money for rice, beans, and gas. I’m grateful for this inner place I carved out for myself—for the light and for the pain. I’m grateful for all of it.

I have lots of paintings and songs to make, finish, and share in the new year but until then I’m looking forward being home for the holidays and spending time with friends and family.

Spread some love and light- the world can use it. 🤍

Howdy folks. Crazy times we’re living in eh? I’ve been living in the woods and stepping into higher purpose as a painter. Bigger picture, I’m really stepping deeper into honesty, love, music, flow, friendship, family, homesteading, interconnection — it all makes sense to me through painting and a higher intentionality with, and reverence for, the creative process.

Anyway, I’m currently clearing out space to move my studio and I’d like to get some prints I have to people who would like them.

Here’s a look at every gig poster I’ve ever illustrated. I’ve often felt disconnected from the varying expressions and extensions of myself, but it’s cool to see the work spanning multiple years consolidated in one place. It makes me feel grateful for where I’ve been and focused and charged up for where I’m going. The through line becomes clearer too.

I’m extremely grateful for each project and to make money from drawing. Big thank you to each band/ manager that has trusted me - specifically @tbtduluth & @themossband. I’ve made a lot of great friends through these posters.

I have prints available of most of these at the link in bio. All 18x24 screenprints. Thank you to anyone on here who has bought a print in the past. All the money from sales will go towards painting supplies.

A bunch of paintings primarily from this past winter- some finished, others not. By the time I stopped working on these I was not liking any of them, but they’re starting to grow on me as I look through photos. None the less, I’m very thankful to have had the time and space to be deeply engaged in this work over the winter. Not where I want to be with the paintings, but closer than I’ve ever been.
