TRUST THE PROCESS 🌧️☀️🌈

📸 @ianharlandphoto go check out his work!

When I first got down the Callaghan creek, I first thought to my self this would be a fun 1 day mission rig, derig, we're out of here.

The far side approach with @gayatriashta On the first rigging day was some absolute type 2 fun, following a bear track soaked to the bone, hoping we make it the the other side and find great anchors and we dit. @ryankeoo was waiting for us on the main side and he had got the tagline crossed by a kayaker. 🛶🌅

After a beautiful but intense day, ryan got to name his first line wich he named "COMPERSION". Compersion is our wholehearted participation in the happiness of others. It is the sympathetic joy we feel for somebody else, even when their positive experience does not involve or benefit us directly. It is also my new favorite word 🤍

While we were down by the river we kept seeing soooo many talented kayakers droping the fall, and there came the vision... the dream 😶‍🌫️
*We needed a second line to be able to fit a Highline a silk and a Kayak in the same photo.

We came back a week later to rig a second line and my friend freesolod some chussy scramble to a 50 foot drop while I was rappeling to the anchor. We then found out that the tree we were aiming at for the second line was dead. My friend freesoloing was the result of poor communication and bad judgement on his side. I got very angry that day and did not want to bother rigging the line to another tree so we aborted the mission for the day ⛈️

We came back a few days later with @liam2far @carlaag0 @selina_blewitt @amyy.jean
and @qevin.freshens.the.heavens
and we put the second line up and were ready with the silks and everything, but the water level did not allow kayakers to paddle so we had to hold on for warmer days so the water level could rise 🕓

Little celebration danse afterwards

It's been amazing to have more parralel lines up in chek, it will allow the sport to progress so much faster here in BC! I can definitely say that having @asasurfswebb and @mountainsonmind right next to me for that session was a big help.

Thanks to @taylor_stg for filming and cheering

And S/O to @balancecommunity for coming out with Paradigm, this webbing realy is changing the game!
