Rocky good time

The Chek gathering was this past weekend, which also marked one year since one of our dear friends and loved community members passed away highlining.
To be honest, it was a bit of a tough weekend for me for multiple reasons, but I’m glad I managed to get out there and take a few photos.
Looking through them is a reminder of how grateful I am for all these smiling faces, to this beautiful community for taking care of each other and putting their energy and stoke into the sport.
Look at all those beautiful humans 💛

Shout out to @evanwillsonn , a man who makes a difference in the local community in Squamish and who surely doesn't go unnoticed wherever he sets foot.

From all those sessions we had, scraping a quarter inch of ice off our line to get to the bounce zones to the sometimes quite unideal scouting missions and neverending good times hanging out at the anchors, you've always been eager to get out there and make it happen.

He is by far the most welcoming person to anyone arriving in the Sea to Sky and he will go out of his way to make you feel like you belong.

For anyone who has had a chance to witness his mesmerizing messy freestyle and walking techniques, Evan is the best reminder that we are out there to have a good time.

Known as the mayor of Rowdytown, Evan earned his title by organizing multiple projects in a very spontaneous manner while getting as many people involved as possible. He's the reason many have gone on their first Squamish highline.

For your joy, your stoke, and your ability to bring us back to what really matters, thank you for being such an inspiration and a caring friend, Evan 🙏🤍

It’s out now! I’ve talked about it a bunch but I have finally uploaded my short film ‘A Line To Nowhere’ on (you)tube. Obviously can’t fit the whole thing on reels so I have posted the first minute of the film here as a teaser, hopefully people go check out the rest (tho I may post the rest on reels in parts). This was a super fun project to get to be a part of and I’m so grateful for the friends that I have to do this stuff with. If you enjoy my other slackline videos then it’s probably worth checking out! Big thank you to everyone involved, but especially @rock.guy.shaun because we definitely wouldn’t have done it without him. #outdooradventures #extremesports #slackline #8mm #ropeswing

Three sports, one spot, one day, in one minute. Hard to think of a more dreamy spot for a multi sport afternoon. #slackline #slacklife #outdooradventures #climbing #extremesports #cinematic

Summer so far 🤙

Summer isn't close to being over yet but I know this trip is already the highlight of mine. The mission was to rig a highline between the peaks of Niobe and Pelops in the Tantalus range that @jirkageorga and @lanochod bolted last year. Setting off from sea level with bags packed full of hundreds of meters of webbing, rigging gear, and food, the crew crossed the Squamish river by raft, hiked to Lake Lovelywater, and kicked steps up the Niobe glacier to reach the summit just over 2000m. Early the next morning we had the highline, along with a parallel visibility line for aircraft (ontop of Transport Canada approved airspace clearance!) rigged, and everyone on the team got the chance to cross the 220m line before dinner. The next two days were spent sessioning the highline, scrambling nearby peaks, and enjoying each other's company amidst the beautiful Tantalus range.

Without a doubt my favourite project of the year, this line and net were such a pleasure. Walking down the gulley is something I and many others have thought about for years, and I’m so stoked that it finally got to happen. Thank you to everyone who was involved, you know who you are.
