This is what being cancer feee looks like!!! 🎀

Baby, I made it through! 🥹 Shout out to all of you who reached out and kept me lifted. I’m not sure how I would’ve gotten through this without the positive affirmations, prayers, and deep DEEP love from my village. I love y’all more than words can describe. The road to recovery begins now! 💕 One mantra that carried me through is: “I can do ALL things.” Because I can!!! 🤍

Issa lil long but if you make it to the end, I know you love me. 💕Being transparent and open is a new journey for me but that seems to be the theme for this year! Positive and healing vibes only, though. 😘 by @mattiechip

Happy 1st Heavenly birthday, Mommy. Missing you even more today. 🎂 💜 by @mattiechip

I made this video for my Mom on Friday but she didn’t get a chance to see it. Since finding I was pregnant again (surprise!) every Friday was our day to celebrate. We’d yap and cackle about what size Nugget was that week, what my symptoms were, baby names, the whole nine.

This past Friday, we celebrated 14 weeks of Nugget! I was driving most of the day because I had my first appointment at the birth center in Mt.P where I gave birth to Bean. I got to see the baby and listen to its heartbeat. So I made this to send her along with the ultrasound pics since she calls me daily to ask how we were doing. “Did you feed my baby yet?” was always her main concern.

Now, she’ll get to watch over us daily without having to ask. It’ll be hard to adjust to Friday’s without celebrating with her, but now that the Chicky Nuggy is out of the bag, I’ll be able to lean more on my Village to help fill that gap. 🤍 by @mattiechip

21 Father’s Days without you feels wild AF, but not a day goes by that you’re not thought of, talked about, or terribly missed.

Wishing you a heavenly Father’s Day. 🤍🕯️ by @mattiechip

In 5 days, we’ll have a 5 year old! 🥹✨
Truly still in disbelief and completely in awe of everything that is you.
How did we get so lucky? 💛 by @mattiechip

Trying to do better at documenting things that bring me joy. One of my fav events for @chswineandfood is Culinary Village! Lots to eat, drink, and see. Day 1 down! 🥂 by @mattiechip

Happiest of birthdays to my love, Benjamin Dennis the 4th. 🤭
Wishing all your dreams come true this year. It’s definitely going to be a big one! 🥂 😘 by @mattiechip

While I’m practicing making more wearables, I was lucky enough to get a #crochetwear haul from Mamas Made It! 🧶 Every single set fit like a dream and sparked even more of my curiosity for creating unique, customizable, and sustainable clothing of my own.

Handmade with LOVE? Always gonna be a win for me. 💕Which one’s your fav? (Mine’s the blue one, obvs 😍✨) by @mattiechip

If I went to see Beyoncé, this would’ve been the PERFECT top to wear! 🤠Finally got around to trying the Reversible Fringe Top by @eurythmik and I loved it so much, I didn’t even weave the ends in before trying on. Make sure you swipe thru to see the fringe in action ✨ by @mattiechip

A year ago, as I was prepping for my double mastectomy, I knew my body was about to change in a drastic way. I was blessed to have Kim (@kimcravenphotography) come by and capture these beautiful photos to remind me of what I looked like before I had to say goodbye to my girls for good. 🥹

The sun was beaming that day, and all I could do was bask in its warmth and the deep gratitude I felt; for life, for beauty, for that moment. ☀️

These pics don’t just show me before surgery… they remind me of the woman I was when I was terrified of the unknown. And even more than that, they remind me of the strength I carry. The resilience to keep going, even when the road ahead isn’t clear.

So, tata to those tatas! I miss y’all, but I wasn’t about to let y’all take me out. I had to do it first. 💕

To my Mama—
Thank you for teaching me what true love looks like. How it’s shown. How it’s given. How deeply important it is.

I can’t imagine how it felt for you to watch me walk through the breast cancer journey… the same journey you once had to face. But you showed up for me in every way.

You were there the moment I opened my eyes. You changed my drains, my bandages, painted my toes, took me to appointments, made sure I took my meds, and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be.

You’ve always loved me through my hardest moments. And for that, I’ll forever be grateful.

I love you, Ma.
