Proud to be at the Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament today with @movember_uk , chairing the panel for the launch of The Real Face of Men’s Health: Wales.

Men’s health has been a huge part of my life and work for many years, but some of the figures we heard today still stopped me in my tracks.

More than 1 in 3 male deaths in Wales happen before the age of 75.

It’s easy for statistics like that to become just numbers on a page. But every number is a man. A son, dad, brother, partner, friend or teammate and a whole group of people whose lives are changed when he’s gone.

Movember is calling for a dedicated Men’s Health Plan for Wales: one that focuses on prevention, reaches men before they reach crisis point, and properly supports the brilliant work already happening in communities across the country.

As a proud Welshman and Movember Ambassador, it was a privilege to be part of that conversation today and to help keep men’s health where it belongs: firmly on the agenda. by @mattjohnsons

What a day.

Celebrating the life and extraordinary legacy of the wonderful Dolly Parton and the incredible work of her @imaginationlibrary around the world.

Dolly understood something beautifully simple: give a child a book, and you give them somewhere to go. A chance to imagine a bigger world, dream a little bigger and, perhaps, write a different story for themselves.

Today, I had the enormous privilege alongside my @judiemccourttv (another wonderful woman) of presenting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with
£5 MILLION!

Five million pounds to help that extraordinary work continue, putting books into the hands and homes of children and families.

And a huge thank you to every single player of Postcode Lottery. It’s your playing that makes moments like this possible and allows extraordinary organisations like this to keep doing extraordinary things.

What an organisation. What a legacy.

And what a privilege to play a tiny part in celebrating a woman whose generosity, imagination and heart have changed millions of lives, along side @theofficialsting & @direalshaggy.
