Yonkers is a 64-page, beautifully printed photo book made in Italy, published by @kgpnyc it features 40 photographs made over a 5-year span, an essay by me, and another one artfully written by @grizzlymaryk

A visual investigation of the hilly city that sits just north of New York City, Yonkers examines how people and place endure one another, and how a city survives despite the pressures of weather, decay, splendor and stagnation. It’s a love letter to a strange and fascinating place that I feel both intimately connected with and completely mystified by.

First edition limited print run $34 (includes shipping), link in bio. Please share and support this labor of love. taken in Yonkers, New York by @mattlicari

I am thrilled to announce my new printed photography book published by @kgpnyc all about Yonkers, New York. I started this project with a series of curious experiments and it meandered along the unpredictably serpentine river of creative process until now, where it can be yours for just thirty four US dollar bills, including shipping, imagine that! No seriously though, limited edition, grab it now. Features a very cool foldout cover with a die cut peek thru of the opening image on the inner flap.

I never brown nosed to get an opportunity.
I don’t ride band wagons cuz a team is up.
I don’t beg for opportunity. I create my own.
I never cared for the applause, it’s usually fake.
I am the only validator I need because when I make what I like it puts me exactly where I want to be.
Nobody put me on. I put me on.
My work ethic is unmatched.
My drive has a V12 engine.
My focus is unwavering.
My abilities on and off the board amaze me.
And because of all of that I can add Creative Director to the skill set. Cheers to Me 🥂
