This isn’t just politics as usual. We’re in a crisis & need leaders at every level who confront it with urgency.

I’m running for the MD House to fight back against Trump’s administration and build an alternative: real workers’ rights, the best schools, & an end to gun violence. by @mattlpost

Thanks to many years of community advocacy, we have a brand new Burtonsville Elementary School, and it is a very cool model for how public buildings can protect the planet these kids will inherit. by @mattlpost

I join our Senator Chris Van Hollen in calling for immediate federal action on AI regulation. This technology is already enabling large-scale hacks, displacing workers, and creating new viruses/genomes.

But, if Congress can’t act, our state needs to step up and pass reasonable guardrails on this technology, just as Illinois, California, and New York have done.

I look forward to working with legislators across our state to take on that urgent challenge this upcoming legislative session. by @mattlpost

As Delegate, I will fight to uphold and strengthen laws like the Community Trust Act that protect our immigrant neighbors and I will never back down to sham lawsuits like these. by @mattlpost

Because of you, we won this race.

In January, I will be sworn in to represent this community I love and that made me who I am. I will work with absolutely everything I have alongside the people of District 14 to live up to your trust.

I am so immensely grateful to everyone who made this win possible. If you knocked a door, put up a yard sign, shared our message on social media, made a contribution to power this campaign, or just sent positive vibes my way, this victory belongs to you. I cannot thank you enough.

The fights that have defined this campaign— for the fairest economy, best schools, and strongest pushback to this administration— will be the fights I take on in Annapolis. The urgent change we need will not be easy. But I know what it takes. And together— only together— we can get it done.

Let’s get to work! by @mattlpost

It is Election Day.

You only have until 8 PM TODAY to cast your ballot.

To win the fairest economy, the best schools, the strongest pushback to this authoritarian administration, and the state we deserve, you must vote for it.

Click the link in my bio to find your assigned polling place or text FIND to 77788. If you have a mail-in ballot, you can return it to any dropbox around the county or put it in the mail (it just has to be postmarked today).

If you need a ride to the polls or any info on voting, DM me. by @mattlpost

Our last ad: I’m running for Delegate to fight for a fairer economy, starting with bringing down our absurdly high energy bills.

To pull it off, you have to VOTE by this Tuesday, June 23. When you do, here is where we start:

First, we have to stop subsidizing big tech. Data centers account for 74% of the increase in regional power-market costs, which is passed on to our energy bills. As Delegate, I’ll support a moratorium on new data centers until we create a regulatory framework that protects us. Maryland must require new data center projects to bring their own clean, green energy to fully cover their power needs, pay for grid capacity improvements, and hire local workers.

Second, we have to take on the utility companies making record profits while our bills soar. I’ll work to prevent the utilities from hiking our rates through the sketchy practice of “forecasted test years” (where they raise our bills based on speculative future spending on projects they haven’t started, forcing us to pay upfront for expenses that may never happen). The legislature imposed a one-year moratorium on utilities using this practice, which has already prevented a rate increase. As Delegate, I’ll push to ban the practice altogether.

And I will fight to prohibit the utility companies from using our money for nonfederal political donations, which is a complete waste of ratepayer funds.

This election is an opportunity to win those policies, win lower utility bills, win a fairer economy, and win the Maryland we deserve.

Thank you to Speaker of the House Joseline Peña-Melnyk for stopping by Early Vote in Burtonsville to support the D14 team & greet voters with us. I’m honored to have the Speaker’s support!

Folks: Thursday 6/18 is the LAST day for early voting!

The two Early Vote locations in District 14 are the Marilyn Praisner Rec Center and the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Station #4 on Brooke Road— but you can vote early at any of Montgomery County’s 14 early voting sites.

You can also still vote by mail-in ballot (either mailed back or dropped off) or in-person at your assigned polling place on Election Day June 23rd.

I’ll see you out here! by @mattlpost
