Big stories deserve the right stage—and here in Delaware we are ready for our close-up.

From feature films and television productions to sports broadcasts and gaming content, Delaware is open for business.

Through the Delaware Film Tax Credit program, productions that choose to create here can access valuable incentives while helping fuel Delaware’s growing creative economy.

When my grandfather was a one-year-old, he and his family fled persecution as immigrants to the United States.

This nation has long been a place of refuge for people fleeing harm, and turning our backs on these legal immigrants goes against our values.

On last night’s Ask Gov. Meyer, I shared why I believe ending the Temporary Protected Status for many Haitian and Syrian families is one of the most un-American things we have done as a nation.

We’re taking a break for July, but join us on August 27 for our next episode at 8 p.m. ET.

Seeking help shouldn’t mean giving up your privacy. I signed HB 213 to strengthen confidentiality protections for survivors when they speak with qualifying victim advocates. 💜

ICYMI: Last week we launched a library card pilot with @delawarelibraries so students at Eisenberg Elementary can use their student ID as a library card.

Secretary Marten said we want our kids to be actively involved in literacy. This card makes that possible.

Thank you to @wrdetv for covering it.

To every survivor who finds the courage each day: we see you, we thank you, and we have your back.

As we start Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I was proud to stand with survivors and advocates as we celebrated five new laws that strengthen protections for survivors in Delaware. These laws increase confidentiality, close gaps in protective orders, and make it safer to speak up without fear of retribution.

I joined students at Eisenberg Elementary to celebrate the end of Literacy Month and launch a pilot program that turns their student IDs into library cards.

It’s a small card with big results and gives our students more opportunities to find what sparks their curiosity. @readingassist @delawarelibraries

Here’s a secret: Literacy Month is actually every month!

As Delaware closed out Literacy Month this week, Governor Matt Meyer shared that message with students at Eisenberg Elementary, one of the schools we serve, reminding us that the work of helping children become successful readers doesn’t end when September does.

Reading Assist CEO Caroline O’Neal was glad to join Governor Meyer, Secretary of Education Cindy Marten, and literacy partners from across the state for the Literacy Month proclamation and the launch of a new pilot program that will allow students to use their school IDs as library cards, making reading resources easier to access.

At Reading Assist, expanding access to literacy is at the heart of our work. By providing intensive, evidence-based literacy instruction to students who need additional support, we’re working to ensure more children have an equitable opportunity to learn to read.

We’re proud to join partners across Delaware in keeping literacy at the forefront, not just during Literacy Month, but every month.
