A huge thank you to everyone who came to RESONANCE, a weekend of film, performance, sculpture, sound and installation at St Mellitus Church.

Curated by the St Mellitus artists, the exhibition brought together work developed within the artists’ studios at the church. It was a pleasure to exhibit alongside Peyvand Sadeghian, Amelia, Siobhan Tate and Dom, with a guest performance by Blackwall Art Collective.

For RESONANCE, I presented Following Streams: Coppermill Stream (2026), a moving image and sculptural work tracing a journey through the waterways and changing landscapes of the Lea Valley. The work explores landscape, hidden histories, memory and association through movement and constructed narrative.

I also exhibited four paintings: Listening Ears Expedition (2026), Peyvand in Space (2025), Spectator Stand (2025) and Shock and Awe (2025).

These paintings form part of the extended project Apolune: Systems Normal, a multidisciplinary collaboration with artist Peyvand Sadeghian that reimagines NASA’s Apollo 11 archive through neurodivergent perspectives, drawing attention to the individual lives, labour and human experiences often obscured within dominant historical narratives.

Thank you to all of the artists involved, everyone who helped make RESONANCE happen, and everyone who came to see and experience the work.

COPPERMILL STREAM

Tracing the Coppermill Stream through Victorian maps from the British Library and a map of the landscape today.

This small waterway has a surprisingly long industrial history. A mill here can be traced back to the 14th century, when the stream powered a corn mill. Over the centuries the same site was used for gunpowder, paper making, leather working and linseed oil.

In 1808 the British Copper Company took over the mill. Copper smelted at Landore in South Wales was transported by barge around the coast, up the Thames and the Lea, and into the Coppermill Stream. Here it was rolled into sheets and used to produce copper tokens.

Copper production ended in 1857. Soon afterwards the landscape changed again as the East London Waterworks Company began constructing the vast reservoirs across the marshes. The old mill was incorporated into this new water infrastructure, its water wheel adapted to help pump water during construction.

Today the stream has almost disappeared from everyday London.

It runs between reservoirs and water infrastructure, largely inaccessible from land and heavily overgrown. Water enters the stream from the reservoir system before travelling south towards the Lea. Away from roads and paths, sections have become dense with reeds, water plants and trees.

People who explore it by canoe have a name for it:

the jungle.

That feels appropriate. A waterway once defined by industry has gradually become one of the strangest and most hidden landscapes in this part of London.

For Following Streams, the maps become a way of tracing that transformation: from working river, mill and industrial boundary landscape to reservoir infrastructure, and finally to the almost inaccessible waterway that exists there now.

The map tells you where the stream should be.

The journey reveals what it has become.

FOLLOWING STREAMS — WATERWORKS MEADOW

A passage between two zones.

Behind us, Zone 1; concrete, industry, smog and control.

The tunnel marks the crossing. Beyond it, the city begins to loosen its grip. Water takes over, paths disappear and the landscape becomes increasingly uncertain.

Zone 2.

Not quite an escape. Not quite the same world.

Project: Following Streams
Jacket Patch
Oil on linen canvas, 2026

The Thames Barrier. I’ve always loved its strange sci-fi brutalism — monumental structures sitting between water, industry and landscape. It feels almost like architecture from another world, but built to control something as natural and unpredictable as the river.

Part of my ongoing project, Following Streams.

The river folds time and holds what passes through it
sound, movement, fragments of something half-seen, gathered, altered, returned.

‘Sending Peyvand into Space’
Oil on Canvas Anaglyph 🎨 Best viewed with 3D glasses -(🟦-🟥)-

🚀 A blend of fine art and space retro tech — this painting comes to life in 3D!

💈Available to buy — DM us for details. All sales help fund our performance-installation project Apolune: Systems Normal.

🕹️ How does it work?
When viewed with color-coded 3D glasses, your eyes each see a slightly different image. Your brain fuses them into one — creating a fully immersive 3D scene.

As part of Apolune: Systems Normal, we experiment with anaglyphs and 3D visuals in both our paintings and live performances — reimagining the Apollo 11 Moon landing through new and old tech.

A show case of the film projections within Apolune: Systems Normal perfomance-installation exhibition in Soho facilitated by Bow Arts.

Filmed and presented within the grey office walls of Facebooks old headcounters in London,Soho. Now an empty space, discarded filing cabinets scatter the huge expanse. server rooms with wiring leading to nowhere.

A space to takeover and use for our archival Apollo 11 moonscape.

Apolune: Systems Normal:
.
Who decides which moments crystallise into history? Whose voices dissolve into static?
.
Our first exploration in the form of a performance-installation:
Transforming drab office architecture into a site of cosmic significance, creating theremin feedback loops between body and archive. By inserting ourselves into a history that’s ours for the taking, each subjective evocation becomes a small disruption of the myth of neutral documentation., excavating the overlooked breaths between “all systems GO” and “beautiful desolation”.
