Posting this to the main feed because it’s important that my friends know about this burger from @eebeescornerbar It’s a crappy picture but might be the best burger I’ve ever had - a lofty title which I don’t take lightly. All the components were spectacular: incredible beef patty with a perfect Maillard crust; American/Cheddar combo draped and melted over it, buttery sesame bun that stood up to the juiciness of the patty and cheese, and all that delicious fat complemented by pungently sharp crunchy onions sliced at the ideal width. Optional ramekins of mayo/mustard on the side, giving you complete control over that portion of the adventure. A sublime burger experience 🤤 by @mattsnowman

Today I mowed, weed whacked, and raked the clippings of my own lawn for the first time ever. Feels extremely gratifying. I get why dads everywhere go nuts over these patches of grass. by @mattsnowman

This is one of my favorite things about visiting my parents. Pretty much everyone has a favorite plate of food you can only get one place on Earth, and for me it’s my mom’s “basic camping breakfast” or “BCB”. I always look forward to this meal when I see my folks. It’s spam, egg, and American cheese with ketchup on an English muffin. I’ve tried to recreate it myself but it doesn’t taste quite right unless my mom fries the eggs. by @mattsnowman

I know I got some pizzaheads among my IG followers, this is for you guys. Turns out Maryland, specifically the DC area, can claim its own pizza style. Typically a square pie with a sweet sauce, biscuity crust, and smoked provolone instead of mozz, it was popularized by Ledo Pizza, now a well known MD chain. This is an even more specific sub-style known as “Cavalier”, which uses Swiss cheese. As far as I know, @gentlemanjims is the only place that still does it this way. It’s so tasty! The funk of the Swiss plays well with the sweeter sauce. Next time I’m gonna get her extra done because your boy likes a crispy pie. by @mattsnowman

Took the ferry from Newfoundland to Bell Island today. My second cousins grew up on this small old mining island. My great uncle moved everyone here when he took a job at the trade school teaching the miners plumbing after the mines closed in 1966. by @mattsnowman
