To see one's self, as well as one's art, on the big screen is something I would consider a lifetime experience.

We had it last night, with our Krewe Du Vieux family, Jessica and I witnessed ourselves alongside our globe-trotting anthropologist friend Sylvia, doing what New Orleans does best: mocking the devil to his face by throwing a raging party.

...and this was just from a couple of teaser clips! The full documentary is set to air in France & Germany in February.

I was anticipating the transition this painting would take on by adding the first layer of the background to be a good one! A big step in telling the story.

I think we should call this painting "Mind Over Matter."

These techniques are how I did the paintings that are currently on diplay at the Where Y'Art Gallery, 1901 Royal Street, as part of my show "Vignettes."

To be the Muse in a Renaissance Painting is to be someone who carries the world on their shoulders and their heart on their sleeve. It's something beautiful that everyone sees, and to attempt to capture it in oil paint is a daunting task.

These are the "Vignettes" of New Orleans.

Your Luck Dragon is the accumulation of the powerful flow of your positive energy. Like the hypnotic rush of glacier water, it can be a moving force in your life. The more you put out there, the bigger your dragon.
