I can finally OFFICIALLY announce this news. When I tell you I'm freaking excited to FINALLY be back in a gym, it feels sooooo good. When I left Vegas and unfortunately had to leave @eosfitness I put it in the universe it would follow me here to San Antonio. Two years later, after opening in Dallas and Houston areas first, we are getting Eoฬ„s gyms here!!! (Hence why I've been trying to recruit ya'll! Lol Eoฬ„s is truly where it's at. The people I've met. The students I've formed bonds with. The amazing memories we've created. Happy International Dance Day! ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿ’ƒ Today, Iโ€™m celebrating not just danceโ€”but dance fitness, the heartbeat of my journey, the fuel behind my joy, and the fire thatโ€™s kept me moving through every season of life. What started as a workout quickly became a way of life. Itโ€™s not just about the sweat, the steps, or the musicโ€”itโ€™s about the energy, and the connection. Iโ€™ve watched strangers become family, and seen confidence bloom through every booty pop, basic pump, and body roll. Dance fitness has given me strength, purpose, and a space to be fully, unapologetically ME. So hereโ€™s to the playlists, the passion, and the people. To every class that leaves me breathless and more alive than ever. Hereโ€™s to the joy of movementโ€”and the community that dances beside me. *Vulnerable post, but celebration really* Celebrating how far I've come these last 5 months. To go from my very physical/active lifestyle that I've been accustomed to for the last 10+ years, to then spend 35 days in the hospital and all of that being stripped from me in an instant. To then not know what the recovery would be like. How long it would take, would I get back to even a fraction of what I was at before. These questions plus a million more filled my head. But I took it one day at a time. The first few weeks leaving the hospital were the hardest, as expected. But then one day, I just said to myself "I'm going to dance today. It may hurt. It may feel uncomfortable. I might be moving slow as molasses, but I'm going to dance today." And I did just that. And slowly but surely, I danced a little more, here and there, eventually working up my endurance enough to attempt to attend an event in June, just a month and half after being discharged. And what I thought would just be a couple songs on stage, turned into 7-8 songs. I shocked myself along with everyone in that room that day. I listened to my body (I promise I did lol) and rested when needed, but I felt so good. I made a decision that day that I would slowly make my way back to teaching going into July-August. Fast forward to today, I'm feeling AMAZING, I truly am. Classes are going well, choreo is continuing to pour out as ya'll know I never stop creating. Despite a minor revisit to the hospital a couple weeks ago, all is good and I bounced right back. I'm back to running, BEFORE teaching class ๐Ÿ™ƒ Andddddd more excitingly, I'm back to my first love of volleyball as of this past Sunday ๐Ÿ SOOO thankful to have found @diablooutsports It may only be one week into the season, but I'm loving the space that has been created with this league, and the timing couldn't have been more perfect ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ I see BIG things in the future ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ To everyone who has been there for me through this journey, whether you've been close, or loved on me from afar, thank you, from the bottom of my heart โค๏ธ Ya'll truly kept me going, and there's absolutely no stopping me after what I've been through, and that's on periodT ๐ŸŽค by @mavsof08
