You know what they say: first is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the treasure chest.

Words cannot express the impact Fish Camp has made on me and my college experience. Thank you to all the people this organization has put into my life.

To Camp Blake, my treasure chest. Wow. This has been the most rewarding thing I have ever been a part of. This experience was full of surprises from the very start. While this year did not begin as I anticipated or desired, I do not regret it one bit. You guys gave me faith that I was where I belonged. To the first years, I am so incredibly proud of each and every one of you. You guys never failed to amaze me, and watching you all grow as leaders and people has been the highlight of my year. Seeing the impact you all had on the freshmen at camp was unbelievably rewarding, and such a testament to all the work you put in. To the second years, you guys are the ones that got it done. You took all of the craziness and responsibilities given to you and did it all with a smile on your face. I could not have asked for a better group of experienced counselors to work alongside, you are all so incredibly strong and hardworking. All of you counselors have had such a profound impact on me as a mentor and a friend and you constantly reminded me why I did this again. You guys are my inspiration. Thank you Aspyn and Ella for building this camp from the ground up and bringing all of us together during the most challenging times. This camp was the perfect ending to my time at Lakeview.

To Camp Pesek, thank you for giving me my best friends. This camp gave me confidence as a leader and person and developed me so much into who I am today. Thank you for changing my life in unexplainable ways and for putting people in my life that I didn’t know I needed. I have some of my fondest memories from this camp, and I wish I could go back and soak in those times just a little bit more. Thank you Hannah and Owen for being the greatest role models I could ask for. You guys built one of the most influential and impactful things I have experienced in my life. #PESEK4L
