Hi šŸ‘‹ Iā€™m Max. Iā€™m excited to announce the launch of my own studio: max.kosek. Iā€™m a graphic designer, artist, gamer, and board game designer. I believe the best designs are personal. After 3+ amazing years working exclusively with @mightyboards on such exciting games as Rebirth, Art Society, Pinched!, Fateforge, and more, itā€™s time to open a new chapter. If you liked the double-layered Art Society box, the chunky re-wood castles of Rebirth or the mosaic map in For the Gods! then youā€™re already familiar with the details I love creating. These are the kinds of things Iā€™d love to collaborate on with publishers, designers, and creators, while also developing my own games including Solar Suit. šŸ‡®šŸ‡ŖRebirthšŸ“󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁓ó æ If you are still sitting on the fence about this game then get off that fence and RUN FORREST RUUUUUNN!! With the announcement of Rebirth Two sending us Rebirth lovers into a frenzy, I reckon itā€™s about time I give my little take on the game that has everyone hooked. The gameplay is as simple as it getsā€¦. Pick up a tile, place tile, score tile. It goes without saying, the simplicity is what makes it brilliant. Energy and food tiles are placed on blank spaces or on their respective spaces, whilst house tiles can only be placed on the settlements. On the Scottish side, you will be attempting to surround a castle, to gain some end game points but be careful of your opponent/s! Objective cards are obtained by placing tokens next to cathedrals and these secret missions may see your castle being overthrown! (We loooove a cheeky scuppering!) Ireland side offers a more tactile experience, with the objectives on offer for everyone and round towers for bonuses! Both are excellentā€¦.but i may be slightly addicted to the Scottish side for now though šŸ‘ŒšŸ» Itā€™s a game that can be played with anyone quickly and easily, only taking a few moments to explain, fabulous design and amazing table presence too! Perfect for families, friends, as a two player but unfortunately not as a soloā€¦..(erm pretty please?!! šŸ™) Iā€™ve so far played 4 times and every time it gets a little bit more addictive. I just love the first initial couple of rounds, where you think ā€˜oh well, this is easyā€™ then it rapidly descends into all out claiming chaos! Itā€™s a token laying puzzler, perfect over a cup of tea, the player interaction is spot on and itā€™s up there for me with the likes of Cascadia and oh yes, Catan, in terms of introducing to family and staying power šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ¤Ž Convinced yet? @mightyboards @max.kosek.games #rebirthboardgame #fyp #bestboardgames #familyboardgames #boardgamerecommendations by @max.kosek.games

šŸŖØ Going farther sounds like a good ideaā€¦ until you remember youā€™re paying for the trip with your building materials. šŸ›ļø Thatā€™s one of the things I like about For the Gods! Weā€™re sailing around the Aegean, building temples and competing for glory, but the stones used to travel are the same ones we need when we arrive. And because building generally requires stones of the same rank, those five stones behind your screen donā€™t always give you quite as much freedom as youā€™d hope. šŸŽ’ Building comes with another problem. Every stone you add to a temple leaves your bag, making that temple taller and influencing what youā€™ll draw on future turns. Keep building and eventually you wonā€™t have enough stones left to draw a full hand, which is also what brings the game towards its end. āš” The gods complicate things a little further. Their stones can enter your bag and later be used to dedicate temples, giving you different abilities. Theyā€™re useful and donā€™t change the basic move, build and draw structure too much. šŸ‘€ Thereā€™s plenty of information sitting on the table. Everyone only has six stones of each rank, so the temples tell you something about what their owners can still do. And nobody needs to destroy your beautiful temple. Building a taller one next door works just fine. šŸ¤” I do wonder how the repetition will hold up over many more plays. Your basic turn doesnā€™t change much, although I also like that the rules quickly get out of the way and leave you to think about your stones, the board and what everyone else is building. šŸ˜Š Weā€™d happily play again, especially with three or four players. Just donā€™t get too attached to having the tallest temple. šŸ›ļø Rebirth II is coming to Kickstarter 16.02.2027 šŸ›ļø Rebirth II is a new standalone game in the Rebirth series. Rebirth II presents two new standalone maps: Greece and Italy. The tile laying heart of Rebirth remains the same; players draw a tile and then place it on the board, but each map takes the Rebirth spirit into a new direction. Both maps make use of the new City-State system, where the map is split into various self-governing regions. The game is designed by Reiner Knizia.
