Did you know that this popular Dublin beach didn't exist 200 years ago?! With the natural build up of sand & silt at the mouth of Dublin Port causing many ships to run aground or even sink, engineers build two walls to help decrease this issue! It worked to a degree, but rather than eradicating the issue it shifted it behind the North Bull Wall creating what we know today as Dollymount Beach 📍

It has since become a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. 👏
