Is Tipperary the new gourmet capital of Ireland?

Hear it from @max_cody who recently spent 48 hours in Tipperary exploring the area around Lough Derg. Here's what he thought...

48 hours. 4 legendary stops for unforgettable dining from The Green 1918 to historic pints at 200-year-old Paddy’s Bar, and lakeside bites at Larkins and The Derg Inn…

Save this for your next foodie getaway to Lough Derg!

📍 The Green 1918 (Borrisokane) - Great atmosphere, food and service to boot.
📍 Paddy’s Bar (Terryglass) - 200 years of hospitality this year and Daily Specials to die for!
📍 Larkins (Garrykennedy) - Award winning Bar & Restaurant and a delicious Chowder feast.
📍 The Derg Inn (Terryglass) - Traditional Irish dishes, seasonal produce combined with Asian flavours.

"The verdict is in: Tipperary is serving up absolute magic, our tastebuds haven't been this happy in a long time. " Max Cody

If you haven't taken a foodie road trip through Premier County yet or are visiting the area on water, consider this your sign. ️

This is Tipperary through the eyes of outdoor enthusiast @max_cody Part 2. 🌲⛵

The Ultimate Slow-Travel Itinerary Continued:

🏡 @fuchsialanefarm : After a deep and restful night's sleep, and a refreshing dip alongside their hosts it was time for a hike.

⛰️ Graves of the Leinstermen: The Arra Mountains are home to one of Tipperary's most famous hikes, the Graves of the Leinstermen. The reward is at the summit? Absolutely spectacular, panoramic views over Lough Derg.

🐟 @larkinsgarrykennedy : Next it was time to refuel with a delicious bowl of chowder before picking up e-bikes to explore the shores of Lough Derg.

🔑 @riverruncottages : Time to check into the next accommodation stop —the stunning, stylish, self-catering River Run Cottages right in the heart of Terryglass village.

⚓ Lough @derglaketours : Ready for the water, we took the wheel for an incredible self-drive boat experience, exploring the hidden corners of the lake.

🍽️ @thederginn_ : Having worked up a massive appetite after an action-packed two days, we wrapped up our epic trip to Tipp with an unforgettable meal before retiring for the night.
Tipperary, you have been pure magic. ✨
