Here are three short excerpts from Nyack, by David Friedman and Dave Samuels. I had played this a while ago and it was great to get it to play it again, this time with the fabulous @zachary.thomas5
Hope you enjoy !

Wooden Music - Rich O'Meara
Last month I told you that there were more videos to come, here's one of a marimba duet I played with @xiangpsni ! It was during the same concert as the Bach I posted a few weeks ago.

Although the performance was late in December and we felt tired at the end of a CRAZY first semester at Curtis, it was a lot of fun ! As usual, here's a few excerpts of the whole piece.

Coming back to my first year in Curtis, I found this video of the marimba concert in december (2023), where I played the prelude of the 5th Bach cello suite on the marimba ! Here are three small excerpts :))

Voici trois extraits :)) by @maxence_dauriat

I've been cleaning and ordering all the pics and videos on my computer so get ready, a few of them are coming your way...
Starting with this transcription of a solo by Michel Petrucciani on These Foolish Things. I made it more than a year ago I think, and as you can see it's close to impossible to play on the vibes, especially because of the register problems (I had to switch octaves in the middle of some phrases). I still share it because I think it's a really cool one, and I'm curious to throw it out there as a challenge to any vibes player who'd like to try, I'm positive there are people who can play this better than I do !!
See you soon for more clips, probably mainly excerpts of my Curtis concerts of these last 2 years and a half.
Merry Christmas !

Full circle moment for me as I had the crazy opportunity to play with the man who brought me to Curtis, the one and only @tonymiceli !!
Here's three small excerpts from our performance of his arrangement of Bachianas Brasileiros by Heitor Villa-Lobos ; incredible feeling to play with a true vibraphone virtuoso.
With Don Liuzzi on the drumset and @cjlue04 on the double bass
Recording and sound by @schlegeldrew
