OK HELLO. it is my joy to introduce the latest signee to Mendel Records. the supremely talented, rad as hell, @kayleekeeney

I saw one clip of Kaylee playing live and immediately was like “who tf is that..? she’s incredible” and have been blessed to have her unreleased music on repeat ever since. she quickly became one of my favorite songwriters, an effortless ability to slide from endearing daily observations to punch-in-the-gut metaphors about life. she creates with a freedom in melody and structure, making music that feels alive.

I’m so so grateful that Kaylee, @brandon__carman, and their entire community have welcomed me with open arms. lucky to be in their orbit.

her debut(!!!!) single, Goddamnit Francis drops soon <3 so much more on the way. by @maxhimelhoch

ahahahahaha getting earnest on main !! sue me !!! but my dreams are coming true <3 got good at rubik’s cubes, loved on old friends, made a music video with new ones, started releasing music as @mmmendel_, threw tender shows, drove across the country and back with the loml, and then john mayer played the riff… one of the hardest years & then suddenly one of the most fulfilling. feeling more myself than ever. feeling blessed, loved, and hopeful. wishing all the same for you. by @maxhimelhoch

the compilation - volume three. I love this project so much. the first comp was the genesis of Mendel in a way, and now proud to be returning with a third collection of exceptional artists courageously sharing ideas-in-progress. there is something so beautiful and thrilling about these songs. all at different stages, all with such brilliant creativity at their core. hope you enjoy, now on bandcamp <3 by @maxhimelhoch

It’s all just too good to be true. So honored to officially welcome @_farrahhanna_ to @mmmendel_

I can’t say too much without tearing up… But I feel so lucky to work with Farrah, and frankly, I feel so lucky to know her. She’s an incredible artist, whose generous and exacting writing has left me in awe since she dropped her EP, Dog. Beyond the music, she’s been an inspiring friend. Someone who has always just “gotten it”. Every evolution of my work - the newsletter, the shows, the label. Sometimes seeing my vision clearer than I could. To work with her and get the privilege of sharing her music is a dang dream come true <3

A year ago I threw a show in ridgewood. A perfect night with three of my favorite artists and a whole bunch of friends. It felt like the start of something, the start of a new chapter. Little did I know it was the literal beginning of Mendel. Here we are a year later, with the enormous joy of working with all three of these artists. So grateful.

I cannot believe my luck. Today, @pursermusic joins the @mmmendel_ family

For the past few years, Purser’s music has been near and dear to my heart. Someone who is crafting thoughtful, intentional, and personal art. Someone who is pushing beyond the familiar edges of genre and exploring new sounds and new worlds. It’s been a thrill to become friends and get to witness their continued growth as an artist. I’ve wanted to work with him since before Mendel even existed, his loving and just spirit a crucial guide as I began to develop this label. Not to fan out too much, but every time Purser sends me a new song it’s a thrill, and leaves me with goosebumps. I’m so happy I’ll get to share that experience with you so soon. Everyone say WE LOVE PURSER!! New music coming very soon.
