Me being the official PA voice of Sharjah International Airport in both English and Arabic is very challenging, yet rewarding as I get to record airline destination names “the way they are said in their NATIVE language” 😎😎 I absolutely insist on that myself! I love the challenge and I live up to it 💪🏽💪🏽

One year as a university lecturer! 🎓

For years, I have been invited into universities as a guest speaker. I would walk into a classroom, share my expertise, engage with the students, answer questions - and walk out.

I’ve also spent countless hours delivering corporate trainings, workshops and personalized one-to-one coaching, working with executives, professionals and teams on communication, voice, presence and public speaking.

But teaching at university is different.

Because this time, I am responsible for the learning journey, the growth, and ultimately, for helping shape the communication skills of the people who will soon be entering and influencing the world of work. This means contributing to how a generation learns to think, communicate, present itself and engage with others.

One year in, I’m grateful for the recognition, trust and privilege ❤️

When did confidence become pretending you don’t have feelings?
Social media tells us to remove the hesitation.
Remove the emotion.
Remove the “I think.”
Remove the “I feel.”
Remove every filler word.
Speak with certainty. Never doubt yourself. Never show vulnerability.
But what happens when we polish away so much of our humanity that our communication stops feeling human?
There’s nothing weak about saying “I think.”
There’s nothing wrong with saying “I feel.”
And there’s nothing unprofessional about emotion.
Real confidence isn’t about sounding perfect.
It’s about being comfortable enough in your own voice to sound like yourself.
So maybe we don’t need to speak less like humans.

When did we start asking AI how humans should speak?
AI can analyse our words.
It can rewrite our sentences.
It can tell us what sounds more confident, more persuasive, more professional.
