It feels like retreat season is in full swing! I’ve been doing a lot of prep for Stitch-Con in June. I’ll be my first retreat of this size and I can’t wait! I’ve been making a ton of matching accessories starting with a stitched name tag using a pattern from @frizzylizziestitches (with a few modifications). Are you going to Stitch-Con this year? I’ll be at weekend A! If any newbies need a table mate or if you have some open seats at yours I’d love to stitch together! Just look for me with all of my matchy matchy accessories 😂

Blueberry Jay is finished and joins Cherry Magpie! I fully intended to save this for a finish at Stitch-Con but sometimes when you get close to the end you just don’t want to stop. Oh well! I’m excited to have this one finished so I can start Canary Yellow! 🫐

Had to jump in on the #SwanSeptemberSAL hosted by @leto.x.crossstitch! Jamie and I have been internet friends for quite some time now and recently reconnected through one of the @lindystitches virtual retreats. We met in the scrapbooking world and discovered we both are cross stitch obsessed now. It’s been so fun chatting all things stitchy with her. This swan chart has been on my to stitch list for a LONG time so it was the perfect SAF for her SAL! 🦢

I spent the weekend at a retreat with @blueflowerstitching. We were given a wonderful kit and also had a little class to learn how to make this barn pincushion. It’s so cute and tiny but I never want to do another satin stitch for a while! I loved stitching with new and old friends! 🦔

Y’ALL! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but my Flower a Day stitch is finished!! While catching up on August stitching goals I thought what if I just kept going…and that’s what I did! This was a focus for me the first couple weeks of September and it’s DONE. The struggle was worth it. Shoutout to @kittystitch_ for hosting and @katherinesstitchingchronicles. Our little support group was much needed with this one! 🌸🌼🌷🌻

Part four of @thefrostedpumpkinstitchery Welcome to the Circus SAL is complete. It gets harder and harder to pick a favorite part but Muenster the Mouse and his little spinning plates of cheese is pretty cute! 🐭🧀🎪

Finally FFO’d Flower Farm and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! I had always pictured this type of finish when I first saw the chart but was a little scared to actually try it. I followed a wonderful tutorial from @finishingfairy for gusseted stand ups. Even though it was a tutorial for needlepoint finishing I found that it applied just as well to cross stitch! Shoutout to my BFFFF stitchers @krstxstch and @cassandramatica for cheering me on as well! I loved stitching this with them! Definitely check out their beautiful color conversions for this piece. 🪻🌷

Finished and FFO’d my Enchanted Quaker just in time for spooky season! I think this is my first monochromatic (and Quaker) stitch and it was so fun and easy! Plus it was filled with lots of little wins…each motif was like a mini finish! 👻🎃🐦‍⬛
