Yesterday, the @mayedayfoundation joined @shawssupermarket and @starmarkets at Family Food Connections, Boston Children’s Hospital’s food pantry, to support families facing food insecurity.

Alongside hands-on volunteer service, the MayeDay Family Foundation announced a $100,000 gift made possible through the support of the Shaw’s and Star Market Foundation. Together, we're helping ensure families have access to the healthy, nutritious food children need to grow, heal, and thrive. 💙 Last year alone, Family Food Connections supported more than 72,000 family visits and distributed more than 165,000 pounds of food each month. by @mayedayfoundation

One of our favorite moments of the Celebrity Softball Classic was “Ann Michael’s Suite Treats” where three great kiddos from Boston Children’s Hospital joined Ann Michael to decorate cookies that were later sold for charity. The stars came out and they gave it everything they had… including the shirts off their backs! The athletes and celebrities participating in the inaugural MayeDay Celebrity Softball Classic each removed their jersey after the game and signed it to a child from Boston Children’s Hospital.

We are so grateful for your support in making our inaugural MayeDay Celebrity Softball Classic a huge success. Seeing the sold out crowd and finding out we raised more than half a million dollars for The MayeDay Family Foundation is truly humbling, and we can’t thank the fans and the WooSox enough for making it happen! Also thank you to the dozens of athletes and celebrities who came out to make it special.

It was a night to remember, and we are excited to share the programs and initiatives we will launching for the foundation over the coming weeks and months.
