Opening portals has always been one of my favorite time slots to play. This time I am trusted with door opening ceremony 8-10pm by @xena_transcription - gathering featuring cutting edge concepts in visual art and audio, and its founder and curator @serpent_in_a_straight_line . See you this Saturday somewhere at Bed-Stuy. The link to tix is in bio. Space is intimate and therefore amount of tix is limited. Don’t sleep on it ☁️☁️☁️ by @mayilovesummer

Fish wasn’t caught by me but I was graciously allowed to hold it 🫣
The first iteration of Bent was everything and more! Intimate gathering in the woods of Upstate was a vivid and heartwarming reminder why I have been cultivating my space around music and certain kind of gatherings and people who share this love for it. My deepest gratitude to everyone who was involved in production and to everyone who came as guests, it was truly magical 🙏🏻🧚🏻

An invite from the illustrious @nosignalnyc to record a B2B knocked on our door some time in June. On a hot steamy evening in July we hopped around time and space in their booth and had great fun doing so! Now, we are very pleased to release a mix of sounds we have been into this summer 🌊

(link in bio)

“@mayilovesummer & @threehz hardly need an introduction, they are both staples in NYC nightlife. Both selectors and artists in their own right, their chemistry results in a satisfying, punchy and eclectic journey, a delight to both the ears and the eyes. Patiently paced for your Friday afternoon, this set carefully builds in energy through careful curation to lock in for a 2 hour ride.” - NO SIGNAL

THREEHZ B2B MAYILOVESUMMER

threehz is the alias of an elusive NY-based DJ, musician and artist whose work spans three decades of unbounded sonic experimentation with a sprawling discography that ranges from carefully sculpted noise to blissful downtempo. Drawing on their years of sonic exploration, threehz channels their full range into expansive DJ sets. While operating under the umbrella of techno, threehz embodies an ethos of exploration over strict genre limitations. A fixture in NY’s fertile electronic underground, they are the primary engine behind the dream/self parties and one of the organizers of the Hybrid Identity series - both of which mirror the mission behind their solo practice. From their earliest forays until today, threehz’s work has consistently shown a commitment to liberation through total sonic immersion.
Ananda May AKA mayilovesummer—a New York-based DJ, event producer, and co-founding member of Hybrid Identity @hybrididentity - a podcast and event series highlighting experimental sides of techno and ambient, and promoting gender balance in the electronic music industry.
As a musician, they spin a mix of dark, hypnotic, broken beat techno, experimental, and ambient — including references to their roots, by mixing in sounds inspired by Vaishnavism and Eastern sonic patterns. As a vibe curator and culture creator, they aim to establish diverse and inclusive spaces that allow for shared cathartic experiences, while centering and celebrating queer, trans, and female bodies. Russia-born and raised, they know the true meaning of community as resistance. Their work is driven by the belief that dance floors can become spaces of collective healing, cultural exchange, and radical belonging, where experimentation, vulnerability, and connection are not only welcomed but essential. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @mayilovesummer

Sometime at the end of June I was invited to No Dawn - one of the longest running shows at The Lot Radio.

It’s my sonic interpretation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

A long, winding 2.5-year journey of reading and returning to this book, on and off. Somewhere along the way, I felt less reading but more like living alongside characters.

It’s about seduction, transformation, surrender, and eventual slow crossing of a threshold.

I am playing the first hour. Second hour is @threehz & @aj_xo .

Thank you for having me! Enjoy the flow. Links in bio. taken in The Lot Radio by @mayilovesummer

Honored to be invited to one of New York’s longest-running parties, @fourthworldnyc. It feels like the perfect occasion to return behind the decks solo. I’ll be opening the ambient portal from 11pm–1am - a slow unfolding before the night fully reveals. See you on Friday!

And as if needed another reason to be pumped about it, it is taking place at my home-base and absolute favorite New York venue @knockdowncenter & @basementnewyork. 🫶🏻

My more contemplative side, beautifully captured by the unparalleled @zzacchhh. 💞 by @mayilovesummer

back for another dream/self, and very excited to welcome @vc118a for his US debut.

take this chance to see him dj at peak time in everyone's favorite tiny room, before he heads to @dripping.fyi for an extended ambient set as under his multicast dynamics moniker.

building the room is one of our favorites, nyc-based @sevyn0000, who completely blew us away with her recent set at wire festival. closing things out is dream/self resident @threehz playing b2b @mayilovesummer of @hybrid_identity_

a love story

newest @official_rebrand by @mayilovesummer & @threehz just in time to soundtrack your valentine’s eve 💘

NYC-based selector @threehz explores the emotive sides of techno, experimental, and ambient music for every performance, taking inspiration from sludgy dark psychedelia to pulsing warpdrive drum tracks. Whether rinsing healing or destructive frequencies, as their namesake suggests, threehz knows how to craft textured, curated soundscapes on the dance floor which can be heard at multiple event series’ in NYC and monthly residency No Dawn for @thelotradio

Ananda Metelina AKA @mayilovesummer —a New York-based DJ, event producer, and co-founding member of Hybrid Identity @hybrid_identity_ - a podcast and event series highlighting experimental sides of techno and ambient, and promoting gender balance in the electronic music industry.

As a musician, they spin a mix of dark, hypnotic, broken beat techno, experimental, and ambient — including references to their roots, by mixing in sounds inspired by Vaishnavism and Eastern sonic patterns. Russia-born and raised, they know the true meaning of community as resistance; with their life work being to provide safety and joy to their diaspora.
