WOW.
That was really something, such an amazing party from start to finish, biggest love to the @mergebkn crew and fam. It was so much fun playing b2b with the good sis @djnerea, the symbiosis I feel playing with you is wild and unquantifiable, just so amazingly natural that it was so contagious that it evolved into an epic impromptu b4b with @dj_nobu_ft and @kangding ray all for the LOVE of this music and community. Now THAT’S something for those so called books y’all are always talking about. Happiest of anniversaries to Merge and @mrrrcc , what a beautiful 5 Years you’ve cultivated, it is such an honor to witness and participate. Your forever fan -A.

Your invitation to meditate through sound, movement, and experience on what sapphic communion on the dance floor could look and feel like is here! Outside of the conventional meaning of this word it is about all relationships that don’t neatly fit into existing norms. It is defined by elusive intimacy, a familiar concept that can exist in night life gatherings, or so we hope. Autumn gives these bonds a pensive, brooding sense of time. It asks what changes, disappears or remains.

We are leaning into a sapphic mood deeply this time, but let us not forget to mention: everyone is welcome! Respect to all that are involved to make and maintain our events is something that we take very seriously! Come prepared to contribute moods and looks, it is a collective effort!

Hybrid Identity is a queer-centered collective, exploring spaces between anything hybrid. This is a shared space—respect and consent come first. Harassment of any kind won’t be tolerated. If something feels off, please find a staff member. Keep the dance floor conversation and phone free, we set up cozy hangout areas just for that.

An invite from the illustrious @nosignalnyc to record a B2B knocked on our door some time in June. On a hot steamy evening in July we hopped around time and space in their booth and had great fun doing so! Now, we are very pleased to release a mix of sounds we have been into this summer 🌊

“@mayilovesummer & @threehz hardly need an introduction, they are both staples in NYC nightlife. Both selectors and artists in their own right, their chemistry results in a satisfying, punchy and eclectic journey, a delight to both the ears and the eyes. Patiently paced for your Friday afternoon, this set carefully builds in energy through careful curation to lock in for a 2 hour ride.” - NO SIGNAL

THREEHZ B2B MAYILOVESUMMER

threehz is the alias of an elusive NY-based DJ, musician and artist whose work spans three decades of unbounded sonic experimentation with a sprawling discography that ranges from carefully sculpted noise to blissful downtempo. Drawing on their years of sonic exploration, threehz channels their full range into expansive DJ sets. While operating under the umbrella of techno, threehz embodies an ethos of exploration over strict genre limitations. A fixture in NY’s fertile electronic underground, they are the primary engine behind the dream/self parties and one of the organizers of the Hybrid Identity series - both of which mirror the mission behind their solo practice. From their earliest forays until today, threehz’s work has consistently shown a commitment to liberation through total sonic immersion.
Ananda May AKA mayilovesummer—a New York-based DJ, event producer, and co-founding member of Hybrid Identity @hybrididentity - a podcast and event series highlighting experimental sides of techno and ambient, and promoting gender balance in the electronic music industry.
As a musician, they spin a mix of dark, hypnotic, broken beat techno, experimental, and ambient — including references to their roots, by mixing in sounds inspired by Vaishnavism and Eastern sonic patterns. As a vibe curator and culture creator, they aim to establish diverse and inclusive spaces that allow for shared cathartic experiences, while centering and celebrating queer, trans, and female bodies. Russia-born and raised, they know the true meaning of community as resistance. Their work is driven by the belief that dance floors can become spaces of collective healing, cultural exchange, and radical belonging, where experimentation, vulnerability, and connection are not only welcomed but essential.
