Happy Halloween! 🎃

#Day 17: Contraption

The contraption is an old Yugo and one very happy mushroom behind the wheel. Beat-up and a little rusty, but he’s smiling like it’s the best ride in the world.

What was your first car?

I painted the whole sky blue first.

Then, with a tissue, I lifted little pieces of it away, and that’s where the clouds appeared.

I keep thinking about that. How some of the softest, lightest things in life come from what we let go of, not what we add.

What would you lift away today? ☁️

Some days I don’t want to paint anything big. I just want a few quiet minutes and a brush. This is what those minutes made.

#Inktober Day 13: Flimsy

Floppy cap, thin stem, gold splatter to hold it all together.

Some days you just barely hold your head up.

Still counts.

What’s your flimsy day fix? Is it a cup of tea, a walk, or just push on through?

Watercolor, ink, + gold.

#Inktober Day 12: Toss

A little golden mushroom, caught mid-air between its two friends. I swapped my usual soft watercolor look for a bolder, graphic illustration style today: crisp lines, bright colors, and gold flecks flying everywhere.

Toss a little joy into the world and see who catches it.
