🍂🎃 We are out here!

PEU’s Tenant Support Unit joined Council Member Pierina Sanchez @CMPiSanchez at her 3rd Annual Fall Resource Fair to connect with families, share housing resources, and help New Yorkers learn about programs including Fair Fares, public assistance benefits, SCRIE/DRIE, Pre-K for All, and more.

From pumpkins and family fun to conversations about resources and support, it was a great day to connect with the community.

She started by connecting directly with New Yorkers. Today, she leads PEU’s citywide work to bring support into our communities.

As we close Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating our Deputy Commissioner, Isolina De La Cruz, whose journey with PEU began in 2015 as an outreach specialist.

From supporting survivors of gender-based violence before joining City government to expanding access to benefits and services at PEU, her career reflects a lasting commitment to people.

We’re proud to celebrate her leadership and her recent appearance in @EBONYMagazine’s coverage of NYC senior leaders.

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, we honor the Indigenous peoples and communities who have shaped, and continue to shape, New York City. ❤️ We acknowledge this land to be the homeland of the Lenape people who are its rightful stewards. We also recognize that New York City has one of the largest urban indigenous population in the United States.

Did you lose your SNAP benefits because of the work requirements? 🛑 Good news: the compliance calendar officially reset on October 1st!

This means your past penalties are cleared, and you can re-apply right now to get your food assistance back. The reset gives you a fresh start and more time to find work, school, or other approved activities to meet the rules.

How to re-apply:
• Online: Submit your application on ACCESS HRA.
• Case Change: If your household still gets SNAP but you were removed, submit a case change on ACCESS HRA to be added back.
