Another opportunity to earn a medal - Family Teams!

If you’re planning to compete in one of our Family Team categories, there is one important step you need to complete before race day. After both participants have their bib number, use the Family Team link in bio, and follow instructions.

Family Team entry ends at 7pm PST tonight. There is no fee to be entered. Teammates do not need to race together, scoring is based on the combined times.  While Family Teams and 200+lbs awards will be announced after the race, Family Teams and 200+lbs medals will only be available for pick up at Village Runner, Manhattan Beach, starting at noon on race day until the end of October.

⚠️ MANHATTAN BEACH 10K HEAT ADVISORY ⚠️

Runner Safety Reminder

The health and safety of our participants is our top priority. Saturday’s forecast is expected to be warm and sunny, with temperatures increasing throughout the morning. We are asking all runners to take extra precautions before and during the race.
The Manhattan Beach 10K begins at 7:30 a.m., when conditions are expected to be cooler. However, temperatures and heat stress may increase as the morning progresses.

🌡️ PACE YOURSELF
Warm weather can make your normal race pace feel significantly more difficult. Consider slowing your pace and taking walking breaks when needed.

💧 HYDRATE
Take advantage of our hydration stations along the course. We have an aid station (water) at mile 2 and an aid station at mile 4 (water & Gatorade).   We will have water at the finish line and several different beverages at our post-race expo.  Drink according to your thirst and avoid waiting until you feel dehydrated.  Please hydrate before, during and after the race.

☀️ STAY COOL
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing and take advantage of shaded areas on the course.  Consider wearing a hat or visor.

❤️ LISTEN TO YOUR BODY
If you experience dizziness, nausea, headache, unusual weakness, confusion, feeling faint, or other concerning symptoms, slow down or stop and seek medical assistance immediately.  If you have concerns about exercising in warm weather, consult your physician before participating.

🏃 YOUR SAFETY COMES FIRST
There is no shame in slowing down, walking, or stopping. Finishing the MB10K is never more important than your health and safety.

Race officials and medical personnel will be monitoring conditions throughout the event. Weather conditions can change, and race operations may be adjusted if necessary.

Run smart. Stay cool. Look out for yourself and your fellow runners.

💙 See you at the finish line!
