On this day, March 27, 2023 - our lives forever changed, our hearts forever broken. We carry on with the hope of change and a purpose to honor our victims and survivors. No child or family should ever have to endure this.

It’s hard to put into words the experience of the last five months, but @kevin.j.sullivan @washingtonpost captured it so eloquently and honestly. Thank you for the countless hours, days, weeks and months you spent shadowing these efforts and for sharing the message of common sense reform that Tennesseans are asking for.

For those of you reading this and as we go into special session next week, please use your energies in a peaceful manner and be kind with your words. Channel that energy into action and continue to reach out to your representatives and neighbors. Productive and peaceful dialogue is the only way real change will be made in our state. NYC > NASH - it’s been a whirlwind few days as Louder Than Guns launched its theatrical premiere in both cities. Thank you Nashville for turning out last night, selling out the Belcourt. It’s been a couple of years in the making, and we are so incredibly proud to be part of this documentary bringing hard conversations around firearms and change to audiences across America. 🫶🏼

Coming to a city near you and now streaming on the PBS app. @ketchsecor @fearless_greene @marykjoyce @ashleyyorkhere @louderthangunsfilm @e.waughcooper @brooksforstatehouse by @mbalexander

Louder than Guns is getting a theatrical release and taking its message of hope and conversation to cities across the US. This film started with @ketchsecor feeling compelled to speak out in an oped in the NY Times after the Covenant School shooting that our children survived. We are beyond proud to be part of this film and hope you will take the time to watch it. Our wish is it encourages all of us to think about the firearm issue differently and realize both sides can come together for change for our children and for America.

Special thanks to @ketchsecor and @fearless_greene for your passion behind this documentary along with the film’s Director, Doug Pray, Producer @ashleyyorkhere and so many others who made this happen.

The film debuts in NYC May 8-10 at DCTV Firehouse Cinema and will make its way to Nashville’s Belcourt Theater Monday, May 11. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @mbalexander
