Dare I say my best work yet. Entire bag is made out of leather scraps and a thrifted leather jacket.
Inspired by Chanel, Wang, and the classic Hermes buckle front I wanted to make a bag that felt like me. And here she is.
Per usual 100% cut and sewn.
Start to completion: 3 days

Can you guys tell I’m honing more into my personal style with these last pieces 🙈
Pleated plaid mini skirt with layers and a matching belt bag. Real leather pleated as well as the base of the bag. Leather garter straps inside the skirt and zipper detailing around the waist. Can be worn together or separately. Had so much fun with this piece the mannequin doesn’t do it justice 🤝 I am plaid and plaid is me ✍️

Birkin shoulder 29 cut & sew from a leather jacket and scrap jaguar print leather from @shaw.zip
Entirely hand-sewn with a saddle stitch. Features the same Hermes hardware and double layer leather. Wanted to kickstart the year with a leather project I’ve never done, and this was definitely a learning curve. Learned more leather techniques and what tools I need to invest in for the future! Overall super pleased for my first handsewn leather bag!
