It was a profound honor to participate in the reading of the names of those we lost on September 11, 2001.

Standing on the Main Street Stage at the Fremont Street Experience in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, we spoke their names aloud—one by one.

Each name represents a life. A family. A story. A future that was taken far too soon.

Twenty-five years later, the responsibility to remember remains with all of us. To honor the 2,977 lives lost. To remember the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger. And to never forget the sacrifice, heroism and unity our nation witnessed that day.

I was deeply moved to be part of this remembrance alongside members of our Las Vegas first responder community, especially my friends @lauriperdue and @lukekilduffmccarthyiii

We remember their names. We honor their lives. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years ago today, our nation was forever changed.

On this September 11, I find myself reflecting on one of the greatest honors of my life — participating in the Department of Defense Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).

JCOC gave me an extraordinary opportunity to see firsthand a small part of what the men and women of our Armed Forces do every day.

Over six days, I flew aboard Chinooks, an Osprey and a C-17; trained alongside Navy SEALs, Green Berets and Army Rangers; rode in a Stryker into a simulated combat environment; and experienced how our military medical teams care for the wounded under incredibly challenging field conditions.

Those experiences were unforgettable. But the most lasting impression came from the people I met.

I witnessed leadership built on discipline and preparation. Teamwork built on trust. Excellence that comes from relentless training. And service rooted in a willingness to put something greater than oneself first.

On September 11, 2001, we saw extraordinary courage from first responders who ran toward danger as others fled. In the days, months and years that followed, a generation of Americans raised their hands to serve our country.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that day. We honor those who answered the call. And we remain grateful for the men and women who continue to stand watch over our nation.

JCOC changed the way I understand the words service, sacrifice and leadership.

Today, those words carry even greater meaning.

We remember. We honor. And we will never forget. 🇺🇸

https://f.io/uXswUx-c 🇺🇸 25 years later, we remember.

On this September 11, I’m reflecting on one of the greatest honors of my life — participating in the Department of Defense Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC).

For six extraordinary days, I was given a glimpse into the world of the men and women who defend our country — flying aboard military aircraft, training alongside some of our nation’s most elite service members, riding in a Stryker into a simulated combat environment, and experiencing the extraordinary work of our military medical teams in the field.

The experiences were unforgettable.

But the people changed me.

Their courage. Their discipline. Their humility. Their sacrifice. And their willingness to stand in harm’s way for the rest of us.

Today we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger and the generations of American service members who answered the call that followed.

After JCOC, the words “thank you for your service” mean something even deeper to me.

May we never forget those we lost.

And may we never take for granted those who stand watch over our nation today. 🇺🇸

JCOC-96 and U.S. Army Green Berets and Rangers are the best of the best.

We were transported by Stryker armored vehicle into a simulated combat environment, and experienced just a small taste of the intensity, precision and teamwork required of our soldiers.

It gave me an entirely new appreciation for the extraordinary skill and adaptability required to save lives under circumstances most of us can barely imagine.

their dedication to serving our country and their willingness to sacrifice on our behalf—was incredibly humbling.

I left with tremendous gratitude and an even deeper respect for the men and women who voluntarily put themselves in harm’s way to protect our nation and our freedoms.

An experience I will never forget. 🇺🇸
