A new chapter for downtown Las Vegas and the Civic Center & Plaza.

Today, Vegas Chamber President and CEO Mary Beth Sewald testified before the Las Vegas City Council in support of a lease agreement bringing UNLV (student services, workforce development, and technology programs) to the Civic Center & Plaza. The City Council approved the agreement, establishing a new downtown presence for UNLV alongside City Hall and key business and workforce partners.

With the Vegas Chamber, Workforce Connections, the Nevada Secretary of State's Office, and now UNLV at the Civic Center, a powerful ecosystem is taking shape, bringing business, education, workforce development, and government closer together.

A stronger downtown. Stronger partnerships. More opportunities for Nevada.

Earlier this year, the Vegas Chamber endorsed Gov. Lombardo for re-election, citing his record of working with the business community and advancing policies focused on Nevada’s business climate, public safety, and economic development.

Thank you to Wadhams Advisors for co-hosting the reception and to Jim and Jesse Wadhams for their partnership and support.

We appreciate everyone who joined us for an evening of conversation and connection.
