Last Friday was @buzzard.ben 's 13th birthday. And to celebrate, all he wanted to do was 🛹 in SF and have dinner with family, which we did—but with a whole lot extra.
...
First stop was #somawest in the morning before heading to the @dlxsf warehouse for a tour and heaps of generosity from the staff 🙏 along with a little 🍕
...
Next we headed out to Waller Street in The Haight for some more 🛹 — made a quick stop by @ftcsanfrancisco — then started our way back to the East Bay.
...
On the way home we took a detour to check out @sk8park_ti where we saw the jaw-dropping skills and stoke of @mac_g 😳
...
It was a day to remember.

Thanks to the kindness of so many: our co-pilot and Ben's backup 🤣 @coreyduffel, our connector @damon_thorley, our tour guide @camennis, @clayhalling, and @jimthiebaud — among several other exceptional humans from @dlxsf, @ftcsanfrancisco, and @sk8park_ti who all played a part in making sure that Ben had the experience of a lifetime, whether they knew it or not. #thankyouskateboarding

This old dog was a clown, a blanket, a listener and a leader, a sunbather and reluctant swimmer—he was cranky and confident, assertive and affectionate, he was slow for slow’s sake, and fast but not fast enough for those fucking squirrels.
—
He reminded us of taking time, of winter window sunbathing and slow hot summer walks.
—
He hated baths, but loved drying off. It was his show. He was 5,013 days old when he passed this week.
—
He taught us so much. I miss #thisoldddog

Another memorable day before school starts, this time just me and Benny Loco. From baseball ⚾️ in SF to punk rock in Berkeley—we rode trains, walked the bay, had slices 🍕 at Arinell, wandered through the Cal campus, and saw Ben's first concert, #rancid at the Greek...
