Before my last winter quarter starts and things get crazy again, I wanted to reflect and share a little bit on my scadpro experience this past fall! I worked with a lovely team of students & professors in a collaborative project with Google researching and developing solutions to aid underrepresented groups in managing their money. I’m so incredibly proud of everything we created in this class, and i’m so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to work with such a fun group of people! Throughout the ten weeks, I dipped my toes into the whole UX thing, and while affinitizing post-it notes for hours on end will haunt me for the rest of my life, it was so fun to be thrown into doing work that was so different than what i was used to. I had to run with my lack of knowledge and learn from others as I went, and even though that was a bit overwhelming, everyone was so kind and ready to explain anything to me which I am so thankful for. Plus, now I know how to use Figma and write killer How Might We’s :) As far as illustrations go, I worked with two other illustrators on presentation visuals mostly, which take up the majority of my little slideshow! For our final presentation we created a user profile and a storyboard their journey with our proposed design solution! Our story was about a college senior saving money to go on a graduation trip with friends. I’m very proud of my growth in creating these visuals, and I loved seeing them apart of our big final presentation. Towards the end is a little spot illustration for our process book, and a picture of our sweet team. Thanks to everyone for such a memorable experience <3

Join me today at 2PM ET for a live virtual On Creativity conversation with the Godfather of @SCADdotedu UX Design, @Google design guru Mike Buzzard. He inspired our renowned UX Design degree, working personally to create the very best curriculum back in 2015, and we’ve seen a lot of each other since then - from our conversation at @designmiami in 2017 to six innovative @SCADpro collaborations. We’ll discuss design culture, community and the future of tech, and we’ll be joined by senior UX design student and SCADpro veteran Angela Martin for a live Q+A. . . . #SCAD #Google #UXdesign #MikeBuzzard #SCADcast #OnCreativity

It’s hard to capture a decade in a few photos but one from each year shows changes. It’s been a great ride, building some small into something big and then walking away from it. Success and failure mixed so well with lesson after lesson to grow from. Amazing friendships and experiences. Watching a kid grow up. I’m own my own again professionally, with an opportunity to build something greater this time. I have a feeling it won’t just be clothing, but richer and deeper experiences for people, sharing community and passion. I look forward to building your next digital strategy or feeding you a pizza, whichever you need most. Much love. You can find me @supergravity.io 🖖🏼😎®️

At New Years, we inevitably contemplate the future. My hope for the next 40 years of @SCADdotedu? That new generations of students will invent what is yet unimagined. That lives will continue to be improved, and world-class careers created. May #SCAD continue to launch people's dreams to make the world a better place! I recently shared these sentiments with @whitewall.art, and told them there's no better beacon of that hope than our brilliant @SCADpro assignments. This past quarter SCAD students partnered with @google to imagine the future of all-important crisis communications, and I can't wait to see what 2020 brings... . . . #SCADpro #Google #invention #creativecareers #happynewyear
