Finally made some time to check out Canberra's newest #vinyl, #skate and streetwear emporium @church.xyz and it did not disappoint, picked up this swag of red hot UK rap bangers!!! ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Œ . Whilst technically adjacent to the original space occupied by the legendary and long defunct #ImpactRecords, I definitely got instantly nostalgic... ๐Ÿฅฒ . They got a dope selection of underground wax, just missing some more #jungle and dnb which hopefully will be added soon? ๐Ÿ˜˜โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ™ . It's been awhile between posts, a lot has transpired... ๐Ÿ˜“ . @lachlanbatallamusic and @mckaruna started crafting this EP probably 4 years ago now, unfortunately as most you would know this was the same time our dear friend #Batalla was diagnosed with #Leukaemia. ๐Ÿค• . After several months of brutal chemotherapy treatment, Lachlan was in remission for around 12 months and in good spirits! ๐Ÿ˜Š . He was writing and recording heaps of new music and even started a punk/rap band @greatwhitedogs who were playing heaps of shows and even recorded their own EP of original songs!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿค˜ . Tragically, on the eve of the Doggies debut EP launch at @smokey_horse, the cancer came back... ๐Ÿ’” . Amazingly, Lachlan was offered another lifeline at the 11th hour when his doctors found a matching stem cell donor in Germany, and so begun many more months of gruelling treatment performing bone marrow transplants. ๐Ÿซฉ . After enduring all this, Lachlan finally enjoyed a few weeks back home with his family and seemed to be on the road to recovery? . Sadly, just two days after the vinyl and CD's arrived, he suddenly collapsed and was airlifted to Canberra hospital, suffering several cardiac arrests, somehow miraculously brought back from death more than once? ๐Ÿซฃ . The future right now is uncertain, so we're forging ahead regardless, with vinyl pre-sales going live on Wednesday, which also happens to be his 30th birthday! ๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธ๐Ÿ™ . He's doing his best to sign some copies when he has the strength, with only 100 physical copies for sale, these are going to be super rare and obviously incredibly sentimentally valuable to those who know and care for Lachlan. .
