well, wasn’t that a wild ride❤️‍🔥

there’s something quite surreal about watching a team build stage after stage & realising, somewhere along the way, that the things that once felt too big for us have simply become the next thing we do!! from outright stage to aadarei, @outrightplay has just kept building

from an A&R perspective, this one was extra special. we know @yohanimusic in the pop space. we know these songs. we’ve lived with some of them for years. but taking 32 of them apart, reimagining them, and hearing them come back to life with an orchestra was something i genuinely don’t know how to put into words

32 songs. two nights. a completely different yo🫶🏼

@shenal_funkydirt & @yohanimusic; what you two created with this music was ridiculously amazing! from the moment we heard it for the first time at the office and just looked at each other like, “yeah, this is going to be special” (lengathukam specially)

@dilanjan.s; thank you for continuously throwing us into the deep end, trusting that we’ll figure it out (& somehow being right every time)🤪

@thisal.mo; thank you for putting up with the tantrums, being the unfortunate recipient of every panic spiral, and somehow still calming me down. this one was extra special with you by my side (& yes, i apologise for yelling at you for several things that were absolutely not your fault, heh)🤍

to every musician, the production team & every volunteer, for making aadarei happen, thank you

to everyone who filled that auditorium for those two nights- thank you for giving aadarei its life. i hope you enjoyed being a part of it as much as team @outrightplay loved putting it together🕺🏽

& to everyone who spent month after month hearing “after the 8th”, “can we please do this after aadarei” or not hear from me at all…well,

Every great show starts the same way , with people who refuse to settle.Today, the Kan Kalu – Colombo 2025 production team met to lock in the final plan.
It’s not about the spotlight or the noise. It’s about the process, the hard work that happens long before the stage lights ever turn on.

Each of these people brings world-class experience, but what makes them great isn’t just talent, it’s obsession. Every cue, every angle, every frequency, every frame is discussed, tested, and refined.
