Who is eligible to receive Meals on Wheels?

Meals on Wheels is here for anyone who can benefit from home-delivered meals with a focus on older adults and people with disabilities.

Whether you want the convenience of healthy and ready-to-eat meals delivered to your home, or are unable to prepare nutritious meals for yourself, you can receive meals from Meals on Wheels! Meals are available both on a long-term basis and temporarily if you are recovering from surgery or illness.

Minnesota seniors are struggling to put food on the table.

While some older adults receive support through SNAP, Medicaid, or the Older Americans Act, many fall through the cracks and struggle quietly.

That’s where you come in.

With your help, Twin Cities Meals on Wheels programs were able to serve more than 1.5 million meals to 8,995 neighbors last year. Individual donations help ensure Minnesota seniors can access the nutritious meals they need to remain healthy, independent, and at home. Fun fact! Tomorrow, October 17th, is National Pasta Day! What's your favorite pasta dish?

The Meals on Wheels menu offers something different every day of the month, including classic and new pasta favorites like Macaroni and Cheese, Lemon Feta Chicken on orzo pasta, and Baked Fish with egg noodles, smothered in a yummy spinach cream sauce. We offer gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian options while also accommodating most medical diets. All meals are heart-healthy and diabetic friendly. Renal, mechanical soft and pureed meals are also available.
