Working with the media and creative industry to give charities, young people and underrepresented communities a stronger voice.
POSTS STORIES REELS
What happens when media, creative and tech professionals put their skills behind good causes? ⁉️ Over the last year, Media Trust has supported more than 4,000 charities, 700 talent programme participants and mobilised 1,800 volunteers. That’s enough people to fill over 130 packed-out cinema screens! But we know that the real story isn't always in the numbers. It's the small charity that reaches more people through a targeted, expert campaign. The aspiring creative who accesses opportunities they may never otherwise have had. The volunteer who uses their comms skills to help drive meaningful social change. Our latest Impact Report shares what we've achieved together over the past year, along with the stories, partnerships and people behind the stats. We're so grateful to the volunteers, partners and funders who made this year’s work possible. From media agencies and broadcasters to tech companies and individual volunteers, your support continues to help us reach the communities who need it most. As we look ahead to the rest of 2026, we’re keen to build even more partnerships with organisations that want to use their skills, platforms and people for good. Whether through volunteering, mentoring, funding, training, film production or strategic support, there are so many ways to help charities strengthen their communications, or create a fairer more inclusive media industry. 📨 If you’d like to explore how your organisation could get involved, please get in touch! 🔗 Click the link in our bio to read the full report. by @media_trust

What could AI help your charity do differently? 💙 We are so excited to launch #AIForGood, a new programme in partnership with @havasmedianetwork, helping charities explore how AI could address real organisational challenges. We’re looking for five UK charities working to improve social mobility to take part from January 2027. Working alongside Havas experts, each charity will explore how AI could help tackle a challenge facing their organisation. The half-day innovation session will take place in person at a Havas office in #London, #Leeds or #Manchester, depending on your location. Ongoing mentoring and support will take place online. Applications close on Monday 30 November. 🔗 Click the link in our bio to apply now! by @media_trust

What does a career in advertising look like behind the scenes? 💼 A few weeks ago, our 'Media Trust and Amazon Ads: #AccessAllAreas' cohort travelled to London from across the UK for a week of work experience at @amazonads HQ. Through job shadowing, workshops and a real advertising brief, participants got an insight into the industry, developed their skills and connections, and put their creativity into practice. It was a chance to explore different career paths in advertising and get a feel for what working in the industry is really like. A huge thank you to Lara, Becky, Loki, Kieran, Chris, Josh and all the content contributors throughout the week for arranging and facilitating such a great experience. We can’t wait to see where our cohort take their skills next! by @media_trust
At the start of the year, we made a film for @say_women , an incredibly important charity in Glasgow that supports young women aged 16–25 who have experienced sexual assault and homelessness. With violence against women being described as an epidemic in Scotland, yet services for survivors are being continuously cut, it feels more important than ever to share this film. The aim for the film was to reach young women who might need Say Women’s support. We made this project through Media trust, led by director Jade with a majority woman-led cast and crew and coproduced alongside Steven Jeram: Director – Jade Ang Jackman @jadeangjackman Producer – Katriona Tweedie, Kitty McMurdo-Schad & Steven Jeram @kitnkat.productions Exec producer - Evie Wright @media_trust DOP – Sunshine Hsien Yu Niu @h.y.niu Production Designer - Rhianonne Stone @rhianonnestone Sound Recordist - Gemma McAdam @gems_mcadam 1st Assistant Director - Carmen Du Preez @carmendupreez 1st Assistant Camera - Sarina Vlaytchev @sarinatv Production Assistants – Kiera Dobbie & Pallavi Suchira @kieradobbie @suchirapallavi Editor - Amy Dang @amyydone Post House - Avenues Studio & Films@59 Kit House – No Drama @nodramaltd Catering – Sister Midnight @sister_midnight_glasgow CAST Cece Cassidy @astro_cass Aurora Siljedahl Amelie Mackay @ameliemackay08 Maria Bidwan @maria__bidwan Antonia Fraser @ant0nia.2021 by @media_trust

Our film Connection has been officially selected as a finalist at the 2026 Big Syn International Film Festival 🤯🎬 Made by the brilliant minds at @brother___film, with support from @media_trust, Connection stars the voices and faces of people with lived experience of prison and celebrates the quiet magic of radio - how a voice on the airwaves can travel across land, through skies, and even between bars. It's been selected as part of a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals commitment at the world's biggest sustainability film festival 🌍 Winners will be announced on 6th November, with winning films also having the chance to appear on Europe’s BIGGEST screen, London’s bright and famous @‌piccadillylights! Thank you so much to everyone at @bigsyn_film_festival for the recognition and for helping share the stories and voices of people affected by prison 🕊️ We're beyond proud to have made the list, and have everything crossed for a few extra fireworks that weekend 🎆 To watch the film head to http://bigsyn.org #bigsynfilmfest26 #PrisonRadio #NationalPrisonRadio #FilmFestival #Connection by @media_trust
What can happen when charities and media experts put their heads together? 💙 Last week, we were at @mgomd’s offices in London for Campaigns for Change, bringing five London charities together with over 30 expert volunteers from MG OMD. Across the day, teams worked together to understand each charity’s campaign challenge, explored new ideas and turned them into practical recommendations and action plans. From diving into audience insights, to challenging assumptions and thinking about what makes a campaign cut through, there was plenty of sharing, problem-solving and fresh thinking around the office. The goal wasn’t to create a finished campaign in an afternoon - it was about giving each charity new perspectives, specialist expertise and practical next steps they can take forward. A huge thank you to @blossom.lgbt, The Choral Foundation, @nyeusi_charity, @orchidproject and @raceontheagenda, and to everyone at MG OMD who shared their time, expertise and ideas! A special thank you to Tim and Laura for all your efforts on driving the event. by @media_trust
