Starting this page to share my pictures that I have taken over the years. I am sharing my stories along with spreading some GWOT love. <1> RLTW

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Gather round and learn a few things.

The Tan Beret is authorized for wear in the following assignments:

Headquarters elements of Combatant Commands,
The Joint Staf, Department of the Army Headquarters, U.S. Special Operations Command,
U.S. Army Special Operations Command,
U.S. Special Operations Command Joint Task Force, Theater Special Operations Command,
Joint Special Operations Command

The Tan Beret is authorized for Ranger-qualified Soldiers in the above listed assignments if they previously served in the 75th Ranger Regiment and departed on honorable terms.

Soldiers authorized to wear the Tan Beret who are assigned to an organization without an approved flash will wear the Headquarters 75th Ranger Regiment flash.

The 75th Ranger Regiment is the sole proponent for validation of prior service on honorable terms.

So, a Ranger could be assigned to a SFG as maybe a Chaplain, Intel Officer, or maybe something having to do with Multi-Purpose Canine training and management.

A lot of things can be true and it's important to not jump to conclusions too quickly.

Be good, my friends.

I come back to this thought atleast every other week, sometimes more often. Being in the equipment realm, a maker, keeping my head space there, there's no question that you must stay centered in the work and visit your 'why' as much as possible. This is because the work brings about the process which creates the vision. The vision of risk mitigation, force multipliers, and what truly keeps the dog relevant in this day and age. Without the work, you cannot create. by @mediocre_ranger

11 Dec 2008. Eastern Afghanistan 🇦🇫. Have you ever seen some shit that makes you scratch your head. This was one of the biggest camels I have ever seen and it was in a one room shack on the side of a mountain. This shack had one very small door that I have to bend over to get through. I am only 5’7” so how they got this camel in this room I will never know. Also in this pic is Ryan Coyer he was one of my first Team Leaders. Dude was an absolute savage as a TL. Made my life miserable as a private (I probably deserved it), but he would turn it off when we were off work. If we (us privates) ran into him downtown Savannah and he would burn it down with us. He was one of the coolest dudes I have ever known. He passed away on 12 March 2012 RIP buddy we love and miss you. #Ranger #75thRangerRegiment #SOF #SOCOM #infantry *** side note since Nate dawg just reminded me immediately after the flash of this picture this camel bit Ryan on the neck. 5 Sept 2009. Tikrit, Iraq back when day VI’s (vehicle interdictions), TST’s (Time Sensitive Targets), and rolling out in Strykers were all the rage. Every night was a block party on this trip. We were busy in this trip. So busy our shoulders hurt from wearing our kit so much. If you look at my Team Leader in the second picture. He taped pelican case foam to the inside of his shoulder pads his shit was hurting so much. This trip was great the Platoon got good….. really good. Getting good is expected when you go out just about every single night on a 4 month trip. I would give up just about everything to go back in time. In these pictures there is one person I didn’t blur out the face of. His name is Christopher James Ward. He lost his own war and committed suicide earlier this year on February 25, 2026. I will never blur out the face of the men we have lost over the years. We should always remember them and tell their stories. Chris we love and miss you buddy. 23 Sept 2025. HAAF, GA Bradley Crose shoot house. Canine handlers from 3rd, 7th, 5th groups and the 75th Ranger Regiment. Came out to throw down for a week. We also got a little help from B co and C co 3/160th. This day was PLENTY of reps sliding down a rope along with a route clear and building search. This was an EXFIL during one of the day reps. #Ranger #75thRangerRegiment #SOF #SOCOM #redempire taken in HAAF,GA by @mediocre_ranger

April 10 2015. Airfield seizure. Ranger Regiments bread and butter. There is not a single unit in the world capable of doing this mission better than Rangers. I honestly have no idea where this one was at. I was on the air land package watching the boys jump into the darkness. That training event was a pain and very time consuming but I miss it. #Ranger #75thRangerRegiment #SOF #SOCOM #infantry 1/75 by @mediocre_ranger

June 4 2014. HAAF, GA. Rangers will sleep anywhere in anyway they can. I was in Sniper (SNOT) Platoon when I took these. We were on the flight line waiting to take off and the other is of my buddy sleeping inflight to Fort Campbell, Kentucky for training. When we arrived to FT Campbell the CV-22’s pilots decided to land in the impact zone of a call for fire range. We landed and I remember walking off the back of the bird and seeing nothing but brass on the ground. Every step was of casing. There were so many extended casings on the ground that I didn’t even see dirt grass was growing in between each piece of brass. It was crazy. As the CV- 22’s took off some UXO blew up. A young Officer thought some AD’ed (accidental discharge). Which is kind of a wild accusation since nobody had any blanks of any kind. As we walked off the range and got to the top of the hill all of 1/75’s FO’s and JTAC’s were at the top of the hill conducting call for fire training. The range was hot and they went cold for a few minutes just so we could land and get off the bird….. good times. #Ranger #75thRangerRegiment #SOF #infantry taken in HAAF,GA by @mediocre_ranger
