I come back to this thought atleast every other week, sometimes more often. Being in the equipment realm, a maker, keeping my head space there, there's no question that you must stay centered in the work and visit your 'why' as much as possible. This is because the work brings about the process which creates the vision. The vision of risk mitigation, force multipliers, and what truly keeps the dog relevant in this day and age. Without the work, you cannot create.

New belt concept. We’re combining traditional leatherwork with modern materials to build a belt that can live in both worlds—strong enough for duty use by operators and LE, but clean enough for plain clothes and everyday wear. The first prototype took roughly 10 hours completely by hand. Now it’s time to put the new machine to work and add a western pattern. Current build specs: * 1.75” width * 10–12 oz Hermann Oak veg-tan leather * Single Tegris reinforcement layer * 2–3 oz Hermann Oak veg-tan liner The Traditional version will be available with single, double, or western stitching and finished with a brass buckle. Buckle attachment options will include Chicago screws, snaps, or rivets depending on the final configuration. We’re also developing a COBRA® buckle version with an adjustable Velcro interface, allowing you to quickly fine-tune fit and tension depending on what you’re carrying that day. The goal is simple: take the look, feel, and longevity of a properly built leather belt and reinforce it with modern materials where they actually make sense. Something you can wear every day, trust on duty, and beat the absolute hell out of. More testing, more details, and more to come soon. Starting in the next few weeks, we’ll be opening preorders for our new belt lineup. There will be multiple styles, but every version will be duty-rated and built for serious use. We’ve also incorporated a few surprises beneath the surface to help the belt maintain its shape, hold up over time, and become something you can eventually pass down. The goal is simple: build a belt you can trust as an everyday driver, take with you on duty, or rely on when operating in a non-permissive environment—without sacrificing the craftsmanship and materials that make it worth owning for decades. We’re extremely excited about this one and think our take on the traditional leather belt is going to keep people on their toes. More details and preorder information coming soon. Gather round and learn a few things. The Tan Beret is authorized for wear in the following assignments: Headquarters elements of Combatant Commands, The Joint Staf, Department of the Army Headquarters, U.S. Special Operations Command, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, U.S. Special Operations Command Joint Task Force, Theater Special Operations Command, Joint Special Operations Command The Tan Beret is authorized for Ranger-qualified Soldiers in the above listed assignments if they previously served in the 75th Ranger Regiment and departed on honorable terms. Soldiers authorized to wear the Tan Beret who are assigned to an organization without an approved flash will wear the Headquarters 75th Ranger Regiment flash. The 75th Ranger Regiment is the sole proponent for validation of prior service on honorable terms. So, a Ranger could be assigned to a SFG as maybe a Chaplain, Intel Officer, or maybe something having to do with Multi-Purpose Canine training and management.
