Come along with Account Director Joe Vollbracht for a look at his time atttending U.S. Travel Association’s ESTO in Philadelphia.

This year, Joe took in educational sessions, celebrated some of the tourism industry’s best work at the ESTO Awards and made time to explore the City of Brotherly Love. Outside the conference, he explored downtown and, of course, grabbed a classic Philly cheesesteak at Reading Terminal Market.

At the @ustravel_association ESTO Awards last night, we invited attendees on a time-traveling odyssey through the history of American travel.

AnyWhen follows five colleagues whose routine day at the office turns into an accidental tour of the Oregon Trail, Niagara Falls, the World’s Fair and more. The eras change, but the pull of travel stays the same. For 250 years, people have always gone looking for something over the horizon, and travel has shaped our lives along the way.

At Miles, we’re proud to play a part in what comes next, helping destinations and hospitality businesses keep travel woven into people’s lives through creativity, strategy and impact.

World Cup fever hit our team this summer. ⚽

Director of Technology David Laffitte caught two games in Seattle (USA vs. Belgium and Egypt vs. Belgium), cheering on players from his favorite club team, Arsenal.

Senior Business Analyst Ari Asuncion and her husband road-tripped to Philadelphia for Curaçao vs. Côte d’Ivoire, tailgating alongside more than 63,000 fans as Curaçao made history as the smallest nation ever to qualify for a World Cup. The trip even inspired her honeymoon to Curaçao later this year!

Take a look at a day in the life of Account Supervisor Hanna Lester as she attended her first Destinations International Annual Convention.

Her debut had a little bit of everything, from a Rising Industry Professionals meeting to early-morning stretches at DI’s SOULfusion. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a DI Annual Convention without a few educational sessions sprinkled throughout.

Content Coordinator Tenzin Tsephel spent a week and a half exploring Scotland and Ireland in mid-June, packing every day with memorable experiences. In Edinburgh, she toured Edinburgh Castle, explored Dean Village and Victoria Street, caught the iconic Harry Potter (Jacobite) train and even got to meet the famous Highland “coos” up close. In Ireland, she visited the Trinity College Library, toured the Guinness Storehouse and took a bus tour through the scenic coastal countryside.

It’s safe to say she made the most of every minute!

From New Mexico to Puerto Rico, the Miles team spent June connecting with destination leaders, researchers and event professionals across the country.

The @odysseystudios_ team attended the New Mexico Governor’s Conference on Tourism.

Chris Adams joined a panel on the intersection of academic research and travel and tourism at TTRA’s Annual Conference in Greenville.

Colleen Phalen and Melissa Cherry met with the Planner Influencer Board for the first time at PCMA’s Business Events Summit in Puerto Rico.

It’s always a pleasure to connect with tourism professionals: the hallway conversations, the mainstage sessions, the partners you finally meet face to face. It’s how the industry continues to move forward.

For 34 years, @southeasttourismsociety Marketing College has brought tourism professionals together for a week of learning, connection and professional growth. 🎓

This year, Chris Adams led classroom sessions on international tourism insights and digital marketing trends, sharing practical strategies and real-world examples with students.

Meanwhile, Kelli Chiri celebrated completing her first year of the program, beginning her journey toward earning her Tourism Marketing Professional (TMP) designation alongside other industry peers committed to continuous learning. by @meet.miles
