Made. A project speculating on how we highlight the process behind products and authentic storytelling. What if every object and item had to tell its story? Made. is a speculative, stripped back brand: every product tells a truthful story of its origins, requiring an emphasis on consumers to be informed about the context of the products they are buying. An eleven-metre-long receipt is a context appropriate format for product stories, symbols and prices: a striking large-scale spectacle piece. Each product is assigned a symbol, dictating its distance of travel and locality. We printed the outcome using a receipt printer. A collaborative one week project with @millyd.esign and @bethc_designs (Post two of two). @graphicdesignfalmouth Brief:  Create a project which speculates towards new possibilities and opens up fresh ways of thinking about a subject. Make something which could be a catalyst for seeing or doing things differently; this might involve a tiny change or a monumental change. by @meg.c_makes

Letter-pressed typography is a visual link to production processes, and a suite of symbols represents the length of the product’s journey. The final day of BDF 2026! It's been so much fun. A jam packed day of more talks and volunteering sees the end of my first @designfestbrum . It's been such a great experience being able to help with the event as well as attend the amazing range of talks and workshops! Big shout out again to @luketonge , @danielalcorn and the amazing delivery team that made it all happen!! I'm so pleased I could even play a small part in the festival. I'm excited to take some of these new perspectives on change and see how they might influence me going forward... there's certainly a lot of change ahead. I'm hoping this won't be the end of my BDF adventures... next year's dates are in the diary. Day Two of BDF! Our second day of talks and first day of volunteering another day filled with inspirational talks and workshops. Talks from @swords_into_ploughshares @thepytefoundry @lauratofarides Today was an opportunity to volunteer, get involved with ticketing, looking after speakers, helping with workshops and meeting new people. This study block, we’ve had the pleasure of running our project ‘portraits of us’ with the many visitors from the design industry we’re lucky enough to meet as part of our course. We believe that the industry connections and sense of community is what makes our course at falmouth special: ‘portraits of us’ documented the diversity of this and allowed us to get to know our visitors better as we enter the design industry ourselves. Each visitor created a self-portrait using the set of stamps we created. We loved getting to know everybody!!! What does home mean to you? 🏠💬 At @heligangardens Homecoming Festival, @meg.c_makes hosted a unique fundraiser called Creation and Conversation. Over the three-day event, Megan caught the attention of passers-by whilst crocheting, and invited people to join in on meaningful conversations about the feeling of home and the reality of homelessness. Each conversation was represented by various colours of yarn. By the end of the festival, those conversations had created a long, vibrant scarf, an important item which gives warmth and comfort to people throughout the winter months 🧣 Megan created this video to capture those conversations, give the project a lasting legacy, and inspire even more conversations about what home truly means 💛 Megan shared: "The conversations I had with people were hugely varied- some shared life stories, some only single words. But what unified them all were their themes of unity, safety and connection- all things that align with what St Petrocs aim to provide for their clients and communities." We want to share a huge thank you to Megan for raising vital funds to support our work, and for beginning important conversations, which is a huge step in raising awareness of homelessness in Cornwall 💛👏 taken in The Lost Gardens of Heligan by @meg.c_makes

Conducted at @heligangardens Drawing inspiration from a love of craft, curiosity, community and conversations. Crocheting for an extended time period, I invited visitors to interact with me. With each interaction I posed the same question… what does home mean to you?  Each person or family chose a wool colour, which I used to crochet with for the duration of our conversation. This culminated In a scarf, documenting the reflections and conversations about a tricky topic that wouldn't have otherwise taken place. Children were also provided with the opportunity to make small bracelets that they could take away as a memento of our conversation. This is a project I was invited by Heligan to extend as part of their Homecoming festival, more to come... The Beach Boys Pet Sounds Lyric Video A collaborative lyric video for a given album (an element of an album cover, lyric book and video redesign brief).
