a pretty darn good year if you ask me! by @meganbaxterr

This year has felt like quite the full circle, but not in the way I would have imagined when it started.
I rang in the 2023 new year in London thinking I’d be moving there later in the year, albeit under very different circumstances. Before I knew it, that reality was no longer and I was forced to write a new story for my future that I didn’t want to write.

I was then faced with a choice - I could let hurt stop me from doing what I had always wanted and let the uncontrollable control me. Or, I could set out after what I had always dreamt of and not let sh*tty circumstances stop me from doing so.

Proud to say I chose the latter.

2023 Takeaways:

People’s lack of belief in you is a reflection of their own fears and internal narratives being projected onto you. If you have the belief in yourself, nothing else matters.

A year filled with immense accomplishment can feel equal parts exciting and depleting. Take time to rest. Celebrate your wins when you have the capacity to.

Don’t let the uncontrollable control you. When you feel like the uncontrollable is controlling you, pause. Slow down, breathe, and allow your body and mind the time to settle. I can guarantee you’ll feel differently after you’ve done this.

Life is far more fragile than we allow ourselves to admit. Tell your friends/family you love them. Don’t overthink letting people know you care. by @meganbaxterr

There are no words to describe how much this milestone means to me.

Six years, three schools, and a heck of a lot of life later… I finally did the thing. by @meganbaxterr

I got my first strict ring muscle-up today and have a few things to say about it!

1. Being strong is really dang cool.
2. Most progress is made in the moments we least realize.
3. Prioritizing rest doesn’t set you back. In fact, it may be the very thing needed in order to move forward.

Huge shoutout to all the coaches who’ve helped me get here & the most supportive friends for sharing in the excitement! by @meganbaxterr

Today was hands down the most spectacular hike I’ve ever done.

Lake Oeschinen, you were absolutely MAGICAL. I would gladly travel 3 hours there and back to visit any day.

Lauterbrunnen —> Gimmelwald

Trained to Lauterbrunnen and hiked to Gimmelwald. Today could not have been any more perfect! Weather was spectacular and we saw less than 20 people on the trail which was absolutely unreal. Exhausted yet giddy and ready for another day of adventure! by @meganbaxterr
