"I booked an AirBnB in the countryside after a horrible period of my life. It was after the LA wildfires ravaged my hometown in Pasadena, California.

The AirBnB host's son picked me up from the train station to give me a ride. We instantly knew something was there. It was straight out of a Hallmark movie.

During our car ride, we had great banter and when he dropped me off, he told me that everything I may need including dinner was a drive away — and he offered to help.

At first I declined, but that evening, I was getting hungry and had no way of getting to the city. So when he offered once more to take me to dinner, I accepted. I was like, 'I don't want to impose' but he was persistent. During dinner, we talked about more vulnerable topics and connected on a deeper level.

I was trying to stay in the present and not get too attached, but as the night progressed, our connection grew stronger.

After dinner, we drove back to the Airbnb, and he asked if he could kiss me. And just like that, our romantic journey began. We spent the rest of the weekend together and despite my intentions for it to be a solo trip, I found myself looking forward to more time with him.

The following weekend, I returned to the countryside, this time not as an Airbnb guest, but to be with my new boyfriend - learning more about each other and exploring the area.

Now we see each other regularly and are focused on letting our relationship grow naturally.

We don't need each other, but we want each other... Neither of us need the other to make our whole lives whole, but we're in the place where it's like, we add value to each other.

I think it really is just that reminder of what healthy love should feel like. Healthy love should feel safe and it's worth waiting for...

A few months later and truly falling deeper in love every day. It was magical how we met, but he truly is the most incredible partner and I’ve never felt so loved, seen, safe, and secure."

Is this a real life Hallmark movie? Meet Megan and James, a couple whose story went viral on TikTok after meeting in the most Richard Curtis way imaginable.
