One thing I learned during Irish’s last months of life is how expensive it can be to get your dog the care they need. We were fortunate enough to be able to cover it, but many individuals and families are not. I cannot imagine watching Irish suffer and not being able to help her. The vet bills were overwhelming but we had no other choice. I think that’s why a lot of old dogs are surrendered - rescues and shelters can provide care that many cannot afford.

So, I’ve created a non profit organization called Luck of The Irish to assist individuals and families with vet bills for their best buds. Whether that is a surgery, end of life care, general vet bills or services after rescuing we’re open to helping. The concept is very simple: someone applies for assistance, is approved based on available funds, and Luck of the Irish pays the vet directly.

Pets are more than just animals. They’re an unwavering friend, mental health support, protector, comic relief, comfort & most importantly family. At a minimum, They deserve the care and comfort they provide us. ☘️☘️

When it comes to creating life & supporting the GORLS, I don’t gate-keep. I use this doc with my PT clients & recently have been sending it to friends & Barry’s clients. If you or a friend is pregnant/postpartum or if you’re a fellow instructor/trainer - feel free to use this as needed.
