POSTS STORIES REELS

Very excited to announce that my painting ‘Flotsam & Jetsam’ has been acquired by the Bermuda Masterworks Museum for their permanent collection. It is currently on view in a group exhibition titled ‘An(Other) World.

An(Other) World is a group exhibition presenting the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art’s Collection in dialogue with contemporary and newly commissioned works. By placing old favourites with works never before shown in public, An(Other) World traces the role of visual art in creating history and preserving cultural memory in Bermuda. This exhibition ‘The Ecstacy of Dying, the Vastness of Living’, came about from observing the cycles within nature of birth and death and rebirth. Nothing ever ends or begins, everything is in a constant state of flux and growth and dissolution.

I experienced micro deaths within each painting. You need to ‘kill’ parts of it along the way, and ultimately be willing to destroy parts of yourself alongside the painting as it takes its eventual form. Each painting shifts and blends and morphs into unnatural shapes whilst still eventually landing somewhere that depicts an ‘landscape’.

A belated post celebrating the opening of my exhibition in Florence. What a spectacular evening with @b.eastgallery and the @theflorentine. It was so wonderful to meet so many people from the Florence art community and so many artists from every corner of the world.
It’s been a real dream of mine to return to Italy so a big thank you to Yan and Anna for making this come true. It’s been an incredible honour to house my art in a city that has had such a rich history that still feels very alive and present today. Walking through the streets feels like walking through time itself. Thank you, Italy. It’s been magical.

VANTAGE POINT, SYDNEY
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Meg Walters

A more restrained palette, deeper layering and a movement towards abstraction, Meg Walters brings new work to Vantage Point that marks a subtle yet significant shift in her practice.

“Watching my husband and children swimming one day, I could feel myself slipping into a timeless space where the duality of consciousness and reality converged. I let myself become submerged in a halcyon state of mind.” – Meg Walters

In our upcoming Paddington exhibition, Meg’s new direction comes into full view among six fellow Otomys artists.

We are extremely happy to announce Meg Walters solo show at B.east Gallery from the 1st October to the 15th of November. Meg Walters (b. 1985, Bermuda) is a Bermudian-Australian painter based in Newcastle, New South Wales. Raised between Bermuda and Canada, she studied Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London before moving to Australia.
Working primarily in painting, Walters explores landscape through memory, displacement and a shifting sense of place, creating environments suspended between actual geography and imagined space.
Her work has received growing recognition in Australia. In 2025, she was a finalist in both the Glover Prize and the Portia Geach Memorial Award, as well as the Hawkesbury Art Prize and MAC yapang Art Prize. In 2026, she was selected for the prestigious Bundanon Artist in Residence program.
Her recent institutional exhibitions include Multiverse at Tweed Regional Gallery (2022) and Palimpsest at the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art (2026). by @megwaltersworld

I worked on these little paintings for six months. Sanding back, painting, layering, wiping away, until finally, something of an image emerged under a waning moon. They will be part of my next show opening at @b.eastgallery next month.

My next solo show opens in Florence, Italy on 1st October. I’m making the trek over with the whole family to open this show, which I am thrilled about. I’ve been dreaming of Aperol spritz in the sunshine for many, many years, so I am beyond excited that this is finally happening.
