Plots of Victoria to go. Shucking oysters. Cold cakes. Trifle rituals. Slowing time beyond belief. Getting the sad times wrong but they are the final of the firsts. Moving too much. Bbq’d fishes.
Green Ponies.
Calling on old friends for help. Complimenting loved ones in the ocean, as if words were simply enough for love. Crying into steaks. Screaming while driving, singing too. Reading poetry to Po. Swimming.
Big salt journey, seeking joy in the final moments of 2025. by @megwont

Last month we said goodbye to our dear Dad. A true gentleman, so stubborn, so silly, too smart. He led a life of giving and gosh could he tell a tale. Dad taught me how to speak what you know, seek what you don’t and show up for those around you. How to invest in the people you love, that family is what you make it — he made his family of his friends. He taught me to read and cherish silly cars with no roofs.

My earliest memory was walking to the beach and at the end of the road near our house thinking this was it, this is the end of the world, and rather than being scared of the unknown knowing that i was going to be ok cause Dad was leading us.

I can’t stop thinking about how special he was, how lucky we were to have him in our lives. So many hearts are broken right now. I miss him everyday.

Vote yes to finally recognise Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders in the constitution. Vote yes because 3% of the population have laws made about them but have no voice in what those laws are.

Vote yes because countless bodies have been legislated before and each fallen victim to the gov of the day.

Vote Yes because it doesn't fix everything but it gives Aboriginal and Torres strait Islanders a chance to have a say on issues that impact them, without fear of abolition.

I hope this is the last time Non-aboriginal voices have to vote on aboriginal issues. Vote yes to get out of the way. by @megwont

2022>2023. To the best angel that Earle Street has ever known, thanks for a year of lols, sass fashion takes, loads of long walks and deep chats and pressuring me to get a dog by sending 10000 pics of dogs a day. Canberra won’t be the same without it’s infamous barista. taken in Ngunnawal Country by @megwont

Captain my Captain. You spent your whole everything making everyone see how special they are, and I hope you know we saw it in you too. We will always see how wonderful you are. A mentor, a friend, a brother, our favourite astronaut. We don’t know where your orbit is now but we will always feel that we were once lucky enough to be in it. There isn’t a part of the industry that remains untouched. The world is so heavy today. Hold your loved ones close. Loiter with intent forever. Vale JC. by @megwont
